iowa women

8th in the ACC at 8-8. 5 of the top 8 in the ACC are ranked. Looks like they have played a very tough conference schedule. Most that they lost were pretty close and had some good wins. Will be a tough matchup.

I'm assuming they play aggressive and fast.

It will depend on how Iowa is willing to match their intensity and if we can continue to shoot the ball well and not let Miami hang around because of the careless passes/turnovers that we are going to make..............

Iowa has also done a bit better job of rebounding as of late, so hopefully that can continue as well.

Saw some of the Miami-UW highlights - they remind me of OSU (who beat us 2 of 3), Athletic and physical, ie the kind of team that has given us problems over the years. Hope we win, will not be shocked if we don't pull it off.

6K tickets sold already. Maybe get 10K which would be awesome!
Shooting for a Sweet 16 birth...folks looking forward to the men's game tonight. Environment should be electric!!

Miami's tough. ACC is unbeaten.
Should be a good game. We'll need the crowd's help!

Supposed to be on now on ESPN2 but I'm getting Miss St -Duke. WTH?

Espn women's coverage is like the men's was in the 80s, where they shift from game to game.

38-31 Iowa at the break!

Doolittle with 12 points. Disterhoft with 9 points.

Come on Ladies! Sweeeeet 16

Seven-point lead, and Logic has played her worst game of the year. I like Iowa's intensity and expect their shooting to improve the second half along with a better performance from Logic, so it looks good right now. This will be the first of three Iowa teams to advance to the final 16 today. Sweet.

It seems like they haven't shifted from the Duke game to Iowa yet have they? If they haven't, I call FOUL on ESPN's so-called mixed coverage. They should have just put on the schedule that they'd prefer to show lower seeded teams Duke, etc. rather than show Iowa, to keep in compliance with their east coast bias.

I agree. The officiating has been typical of a women's game.

Iowa needs to keep fighting for rebounds. Too much standing in spots again and not sealing weak side rebounders.

It'd also be nice if they could get consecutive stops instead of scoring a big basket and then immediately letting Miami go down and score or get fouled.

Play defense. Win the game.

Is the game actually on somewhere? I've been switching between the MSU game and what appears to be the Duke women's game. Not much "whip-around" happening from what I can tell.

Iowa can be aggressive when they want to be but for whatever reason that doesn't seem to translate very well to their rebounding.

The WBB are now officially nationally significant... by Northernhawkeye's metric. Everyone can be happy now.
