Probably no chance we will see him/her around here real soon.Originally posted by cyberhawk:
The WBB are now officially nationally significant... by Northernhawkeye's metric. Everyone can be happy now.
Hey, Iowa State beat them. Don't count Hawks out.Originally posted by hawkeye ball:
Hope we get another shot at Arkansas. Doolittle had 4 points in that game and fouled out.
Razorbacks shot 33 free throws; Iowa 6. However, I don't see them getting past Baylor...
Was talking about not seeing Arkansas get by Baylor (and now it is 58-26 BU).Originally posted by InsHAWK:

I attend many WBB games every year. This was the worst officiated game that I have seen in person. Absolutely incompetent. The woman was actually the best of the 3 and she was terrible.Originally posted by The Sleeping Dog:
Officiating has been terrible.
I was thinking never, but a quick look at Vivian Stringer's wiki page shows back-to-back Elite Eights in the '87 and '88 tourneys, with the Iowa men also making the Sweet 16 both years. So there you go.Originally posted by SpartanHawk:
When was the last time when Iowa men's and women's teams reached the Sweet 16 in the same year? Has it ever happened?
Thought it might have happened then... Even though Kentucky had higher seeded teams for both men's and women's teams this year, this isn't going to happen for them this year! #7 Dayton just now puts down #2 Kentucky on Kentucky's home floor 99-94 for the women! And Iowa beat Dayton earlier this year 90-83 too.Originally posted by Buck.McCoy:
