Is Iowa ranked tomorrow?

Always amazes me with some of the teams that slip into the ranks with little to show for it and how much of a struggle it is for Iowa to crack the top 25. Likely the results of years of let-downs when the expectations were so high. If we crack the top 25 this week, I will be pleasantly surprised.

The fact that the powers that be consistently have an obsession with some teams and will take that into consideration in giving them a better ranking than a team that actually deserves it no longer amazes me. Teams like ND will always be favored.

(Not saying ND doesn't deserve to be ranked right now, just stating the most obvious favored team in college football)

And ultimately, it hurts Notre Dame during bowl season. Yes, they get a bigger pay-out and get broader exposure, but it also results in them being overmatched in the postseason and they lose.
So it's a Sophie's Choice. Do you want to be overrated and lose more bowl games or underrated and win?

I realize Iowa is 3-0, but they have beaten 3 teams with combined record of 1-6.

Maybe Iowa is worthy, but ranking Iowa because they won home games vs lesser opponents makes me think the voters are pure lazy.

Ya but if you take out the Iowa games they’re 1-3. Looks much better.

TV ratings will have us rated in Top 25...

Had Wisconsin won and the rest of the B1G not looked like total garbage, that wouldn't have surprised me. As it is, Iowa will not get the benefit of the doubt whatsoever. I suspect we'll be RV and at about #30 in both polls.
