how is it determined? the geography of the 1 seeds?
Because the other two 1 seeds are gonna be Pac 12 teams....or Texas, not that it'll matter all that much.
Having Stanford and USC in Portland makes more sense than sending Iowa out west and Stanford to Albany.
If it were the men’s committee though, I would fully expect them to do something so arrogantly stupid.
The only way I could see the committee justifying Iowa out west is if the following occurs:
1 (1) South Carolina (Albany)
2 (1) USC (Portland)
3 (1) Iowa (Portland)
4 (1) Texas (Albany)
5 (2) UConn (Albany)
6 (2) Stanford (Portland)
Stanford would be the 2 in our region, and UConn the 2 in Texas' region (I doubt UConn leapfrog Stanford though).
My guess in that case is UCLA gets a massive drop, or they get screwed and sent to a Portland regional, because there's still Ohio State, LSU and Notre Dame fighting for those other 2 seeds.
