Unfortunately no. It’ll take Trump having a Creed like slip

Clearly they are. Look at all of the Chase Oliver voters here.

Is a gay candidate currently electable in the US? Yes, if they are a real populist and a change candidate. If they are near the democrat establishment they wouldn't do well.

Unlike the vast majority of this board, I have voted for a gay man a presidential election.

I don’t think they are. Look at 2020 with Pete B and what the Dems were scared of with the black vote. I would personally vote for a far man or woman but the powers that be don’t think we can handle it

I just don't think it's a significant negative. Could be a negative, but not something that couldn't be overcome.

Sort of like Obama being black. People were saying the same thing about being black. And it probably was a negative. (possibility it wasn't, technically) But it didn't prove to be one that couldn't be overcome easily enough with an otherwise good candidate.

Size of effect.

Barack Obama broke the color barrier when he was elected President

Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris failed to break the woman barrier when
they were defeated for President.

Bottom Line: America is still not ready to elect a gay President in this
decade of the 21st century. However, women and gays should not
give up in the future. It is still a remote possibility for a capable person
to break these barriers and become a U.S. President.

Obama was a Mulato

Isn’t Trump “bi”? Isn’t that the purpose for his orange skin?
I really have heard Trump is bi…. He walks like it…and notice how he uses his hands when he speaks….dead “bi” giveaways. Also, note how he tilts his head during pressers…

When I repatriated back to the United States in 2008, I was honestly surprised by the number of Americans that seriously believed - and still do - that Barack Obama was a gay man and that his wife is trans. One of the most ridiculous urban legends in American history.

I don't think you truly realize the scope of American ignorance until you leave the country for a few years and then return. The level of stupidity in the United States is unusually high.

I remember when people were shocked that a Catholic was elected president.

Well, not really... I'm not quite that old. But I read the stories about it.
