Is the GOP a Cult?

It's like this ends with the researchers finding the culprits behind the disinformation, and as they unmask the perp, it's Jim Jordan complaining "and we would have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling kids!!!"

The sooner Republicans realize this, the better off the country will be.
Trump has transformed the definition of "conservatism" from "less government/pro business" to "fascism" and "lawlessness for political allies and the wealthy"

As always, projection. BAU

Pastors, priests, youth pastors and cops say otherwise

This was posted in a chat I am in with some fraternity bros. Good guys but all republicans. This is the second time I have heard this spin today.

There isn't that much difference between Trump's positions and those of the rest of his party. He's more up front and vulgar, but not that different. And plenty of Rs are following him on the up front and vulgar bits these days.

WOW

Essentially:
Sir....our clientele are the American people - the people who elected YOU and the same people who get f***ed over by junk bank fees improperly imposed upon them that enrich the banks, and move more money to Wall Street instead of keeping it on Main Street where it can help local economies....

Who do YOU represent? Banks? Or those people that elected you to office?

Wow, indeed.

HROT needs a facepalm emoji.

In the Marist poll, Trump has seen an eight-point jump since February; 76 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning voters now view him favorably.

Americans overall feel very differently. More than half say Trump should drop out of the presidential race, including 58 percent of independents.

But, for Republicans, nearly two-thirds say Trump will have their support in the GOP primary. Just one-third say they will support another candidate. As the number of primary candidates continues to grow, they will need to change many Republican minds before voting begins early next year.
