They did this to election workers in Georgia, when the votes didn't work out in their favor.
It is exactly what fascists do: normalize this kind of shit against the people who are supposed to be the "referees".
Would be no different than having your team lose a game at a road venue, where the crowds bullied the refs into reversing obvious calls to throw the game against you. Think about how much fun it would be to watch a FB game if the refs would just do whatever the crowd mobs wanted them to do, and bullied officials into ensuring they won every game...
