"The Middle Class" is among the most ambiguous things ever. For most people, unless you're a 1% and sure of it, the Middle Class is everyone who's not on welfare, up to everyone who makes just a little bit more than "me." For instance, a household that makes $200k/year considers itself middle class, but a household that makes $80k/year does not consider the $200k home middle class. I always get a kick out of politicians arguing about the middle class, because there isn't an agreed upon definition.
