Is there anything worse than going out of your way to get a hard working essential worker fired?

I'm not sure if OP is aware of the obvious troll, or he's trolling back in a rare troll within a troll thread.

You are one of 2 things in the end:

* Human feces for trying to get someone fired

* Full of feces for posting the store's phone #, Corporate's phone #, and then typing up, HOPEFULLY, all the made up details

i honestly hope u r right. But phone #s and lengthy details were posted.

Of course you hope he’s right.

You’re feeling guilty that your unethical actions and subsequent bragging about said actions got your coconspirator fired. Your selfish desire for toilet paper may have cost someone their job...hope your TP was worth it.

I finished those 2 hours ago. First I left a message for the store manager. Then I called corporate and had a very interesting conversation. About 30 minutes later the store manager and two others on speakerphone (regional something and a weird title I assume was from corporate) returned my call, it was pretty apparent they take this stuff very serious...their brand is more valuable than their sales.

Anyway, I was assured the behaviors will no longer take place at that store and that the employee (sounded like they’d already figured out who she was) was being dealt with harshly.

I asked about banning customers. They said said the woman offered they wouldn’t punish the customers. I let them know I was disappointed in that decision.

Sounds like you’re not banned, though, so you have that to be happy about. But congrats on ruining the employee’s life. Hope her family didn’t need the income in these hard times. I wonder if she knows it was you who had loose lips.
I hope this post is not serious but if it is; How were you damaged by the employee's behavior? Why would you care to the point of ensuring a reprimand?

Is this our first trollception?

And wasn't Fran the one who got all worked up about copy/pasting entire articles because that goes against the rules?
As you can see throughout this thread, several posters were not sure if Ding-a-ling was being serious or not.

And @Blair Sanderson in particular is not fond of posters copying and pasting articles from subscription sites. If you copied and pasted from the Lounge you would get banned. He has gone into threads, taking out the copied article, and leaving just the link. And I agree with him; if you want to read HawkCentral, content in the Lounge, etc, you should pay for it.

I am surprised at you Wendy. I assumed you were not the type to steal or enjoy watching others steal.

First, it isn't illegal, an obvious clue. Ever called into a Target or Walmart to see if they had something in stock and then had them set it aside for you so you don't drive all the way there and have it be out of stock? I have. It isn't unusual or illegal.

Second, no way any corporate store would give this that much attention at all, and particularly not that quickly. I've had a legitimate complaint that was $1200 and a day of my time, and while it was dealt with by a Sam's Club manager in a fair manner, it didn't get addressed in 30 minutes. No way corporate brass and the store manager listened to some yahoo with a story and acted that quickly. If anything, they would get the facts through their own investigation first, and that isn't happening in a busy store in a half an hour.

Third, no way they could identify her that quickly, if at all. Every Sam's I've ever been in has a lot of women (and men) working customer service, which is where you would renew your membership. Half the employees seem to cycle through customer service. No way to identify which one it was.

Fourth, no manager or corporate person would ever acknowledge to some random yahoo that they were taking disciplinary action against an employee. That would be a matter between the company and the employee and the company wouldn't say one word to said random complaining person about what they were doing. They aren't going to risk being sued by the employee by disclosing any information to said yahoo.

I'm sure there are more reasons, but I'm pretty certain your chain is being yanked. Now can you ask her to set aside a pack of disinfectant wipes for me next time? ;)

I'm not. But I also haven't given (or searched for) illegal streams of sporting events nor shared them so others could steal.

Just the wipes. Maybe some of those rotisserie chicken enchiladas. Just kidding, my Sam's has the enchiladas and all the toilet paper I could every want--I did notice they were out of Charmin though and I'm not using anything but ultrasoft on this old backside.

So, you agree with me that articles from the WaPo, NY Times, Chicago Tribune, Iowa City Press Citizen, Cedar Rapids Gazette, the Lounge and other subscription sites should not be copied and pasted and should only have the links provided? After all, you stated that you don't enjoy watching others steal.

I would for wipes as I drive right through on my way to see a friend in Stillwater anyway, but I'm kidding. I will find them in Apple Valley eventually. I asked a guy working today if they are delivered on a particular day of the week and he said no and that they don't even know if they are receiving them until the trucks arrive and they look inside.

yeah; i have heard similar things from the Eagan & Woodbury clubs in that they have no idea if if will be name brand stuff (Charmin, Clorox, etc) or Members Mark stuff on any given day's truck load

and the only reason i got Members Mark wipes last week was because that truck was late that day and they had just put them out
