Is this the year Scott Frost beats Iowa?

Apart from the game being in Lincoln this season ... I don't see too many other possible advantages that the Huskers might hold. They're probably going to be pretty young and inexperienced at WR ... so most of their experience catching the ball will be coming at TE. Iowa's D is used to practicing against much better TEs.

And ... as JStandefer rightly mentioned ... Frost's teams are pretty undisciplined. That's a pretty big strike against them ... right there.

They’re so unsound in all phases. Their special teams have been atrocious, whether we’re talking about the muff on the punt last year, or ISM’s kickoff return in 2019. Their offense and AM especially turns it over and is by and large soft. It seems like they need a lot of breaks to put a long drive together. They’re the last team in the world that will punch us in the mouth and impose their will. Defensively they play like punks who’ve never been there before, jawing and celebrating after making a tackle 15 yards down field. They get a lot of guys ejected for targeting, which means they don’t work on fundamentals in practice. That’s poor coaching.

Can they beat us? Sure, but we have to really be trying to lose.

Frost and Debbie fans will enjoy yet another season of being inferior to the Hawks. We have a better RB, a better OL, a better TE, better Defense and our if our QB keeps improving he is more then a match for hot and cold Martinez. And I would take Tracy at WR any day before Martin. The only way the Hawks lose is if they don't come to play.

We could.... I mean we lost a ton over the last few years. That being said I think the loss of Wan’Dale (the dude who kept them in the game) is a massive blow for what they actually do well

This actually brings up a curious question: Do you guys think Debby will go after Urban Meyer or Belichick after Frost completes his abject failure of a tenure at the University of Hasbeenaska?

And second discussion point: Imagine the state of Nebraska with two Power 5 conference schools or Iowa with only one. How much more dominant would the Hawkeyes be over Debby right now?

It’s actually mind boggling to consider how depressing life west of Council Bluffs must be.

This is a joke right?

Wandale was a nice player but didn’t really fit the offense. A lot of his production was due to Scott’s Frosts ability to scheme him open. Nebraska has a ton of size at WR and TE which is what SF is looking for.

I brought this up so many times....Nebraska has one D1 football program!...so what is so amazing about their idiotic sellout record? (note University of Omaha once had a decent D2 program...and just when it was on the verge of becoming D1....it got axed by AD former Husker Trev Alberts....while his mentor Osborne was AD in Lincoln....not hard to connect the dots there...can't have any other fans in the cult state...and need all those UNO guys to walk on at Neb....that's how they roll in the delusional win at all costs, but still lose husker state)

No decent coach in their right mind will touch Nebraska with a 10-ft pole.

It's getting better, but the entitlement cult many of the older fans and boosters still has such a strong grip on the program. They need a top-to-bottom rebuild, but their fanbase doesn't have the mindset or the patience for it.

Considering the strides that have been made at Maryland and Rutgers, is Nebraska the worst program in the conference or just in the bottom three?

Absurd. Why should Nebraska lower its expectations? Nebraska is a blue blood on the same level as Alabama. No reason they shouldn’t be competing for national titles every year.

Nebraska was way too much for Rutgers. It got ugly in the 2nd half. Frost ran it down their throats and the Huskers imposed their will. I think they will do that to most teams in 2021.

13th out of 14. Got it. Schiano is so much better at coaching football though, it’s going to be hard to hold that spot.
