Today, I think it was the DM Register sports that had reports aboutr
Dale Jones and Isaiah Moss being ready to roll for next season.

That is music to my ears, as I think both of these guys could be
Starters, for some of the season.

Meh-everybody is a hall of famer in the PTL it seems.

That's the secret Clone fan coming out in me, eh DanL53?

Not so secret. Anyone wonders, here's another guy who spends his time bashing. Like wishing Gesell would get a high ankle sprain. All a reader has to do is click on 4th and 9 inches post total (right below Joined date, right above Likes Received) and one can see his usual perspective like a garden of poison ivy.

Suspecting he's a Clone fan comes from many of his past posts as well. Maybe he's just one of these guys that jumps on bandwagons.

Here's an accurate perspective: You have over 3000 posts here per year. I may post some negative but at times (not always) accurate messages here that the homers don't want to see but this board is not my main purpose for living like it is for you.

Jones being healthy could be the straw that stirs the drink,. Moss is a high energy guy that needs to slow down some, reports are that he gets out of control in a fast sense, it is easier to slow a player down than it is speeding him up.

Same here. I am ready for PTL to start rolling already. Jones won't be playing, but everyone else will be, including the freshmen. It will be something to watch.

Anyone else find it odd that when Fleming was on his way out he cited leading the PTL in scoring or his team in scoring I can't remember, along with hitting 2-3 threes in shoot around before the Villanova game as reasons he thought he should have played more?

I hope this is not true, because it sounds... not smart.

“I gave it everything I had from PTL, leading our team and the whole league in scoring, to the very last practice in Brooklyn,” Fleming said. “It was funny: I was out there (and hit) two or three 3s in our last walk-through practice. I’m always attacking, always competing, and I tried to focus on having a great attitude all year and supporting my guys.

It wasn't as bad as I originally interpreted it but I still think that is essentially what he was trying to say

I take PTL stats with a pretty big grain of salt personally. While it is fun to get a look at the incoming recruits, I wouldn't put too much stock into how well certain players do. It's a glorified rec league.

It sounds as if he's a little confused as to why he didn't get more playing time. But I would hark back to an interview with Fleming early in the season. This is from memory, but Andrew had just played a bit and was pulled when he fired up a three with about 28 seconds left on the shot clock and absolutely no other Iowa player down the court yet.

After the game someone asked him what McCaffery said when he pulled him. "He asked me if I'd lost my mind.", Fleming replied. Then he was asked kind of jokingly if he'd ever do that again. Andrew said something like, "It would be a crowd pleaser and yes, I probably would."

Well, that's all well and good but if that's how you really think Andrew, no wonder you didn't see minutes.

I think he could have helped the team this year, but he didn't buy into playing defense and never got over the fire away philosophy of Oak Hill. Sad, I still think he had plenty of talent.

This was exactly Andrew's problem. He always seemed to want to take the shot and never really tried to get within the flow of the offense.

I still think he saw his opportunities falling after seeing who was returning and their potential. He wanted playing time and didn't see it for himself. His own evaluation.
