that Wrestling for Life needs volunteers. We have aggressive goals for the next 12 months and we will need lots of help to meet them. Our specific needs include, but are not limited to:
1. someone to spearhead our ticket giveaway effort for the 2017 NCAA Division III Championships in La Crosse. This involves help with fundraising, coordinating with the venue and the LAX tournament staff and getting the tickets into the hands of the schools and clubs.
2. anyone who wants to lead sh...oe drives. Providing gear to financially challenged clubs and middle schools is our fastest growing area of service. Efforts to round up gently used shoes would be a big help.
3. folks who want to help arrange free trips to intercollegiate and post collegiate events. Last season kids got to go to dual meets at Rutgers, Ohio State, Wisconsin, UNI and Iowa. We'll manage the fundraising but can use assistance with logistics. A good friend has been helping with the Rutgers meets the last two seasons and it has been a big help.
4. event managers. If you or someone you know has experience with "bags" tournaments we'd welcome your involvement.
