I have no idea how these machines work or the process by which they are used, but it's possible that they are required to count the ballots multiple times in order to get a reliable result. Show me a video of the same person sending a similar stack of ballots through the machine only once and maybe you've got something. Adding the dramatic music over the top doesn't really mean something dramatic is happening.

Soooo....when the vote gets audited and they see Joe Smith voted three times, they just overlook that?
Or, when/if the machine sees a ballot that's already gone through, it knows the vote has already been counted - since the ballots are individualized/numbered.
Who knows - you'd think that something as basic as "How does the machine prevent votes from being counted multiple times, or votes not being counted at all?" would have been a basic question asked when they were considering adding these machines for elections, and something the vendor had factored/built into the machines.
