Yeah, defensive players getting drafted doesn’t translate to higher-caliber offensive players moving to Iowa City.
Lions are starting to build a team. I think they're going to be the dominant team in the NFC Central over the next 5-10 years.
Maybe not, but damn if we can get even more elite defense. It will only take mediocre offense to win 10 a year
So you’re right, but honestly who cares? I’m happy for these guys and our defense. And I think Dan Campbell and Jack are going to get along great.
Just give Phil Parker KFz's salary already and vice versa
Really happy for Jack. His showing at the combine and the intangibles like winning the Campbell Award and being a team leader pushed him up the board. I'm guessing Kirk gave the NFL GMs that inquired rave reviews about him as well.

Love the Jack Campbell pick for the Lions tho. Head coach Dan Campbell got his type of player here. Athlete that brings his lunch pale - boom!

Not as surprising as taking Gibbs at 12. That was pretty wild. They probably could have taken Gibbs at the beginning of the second round.
One of those picks ... where you pick the guy because of the culture that he'll help you instill on the team. (all without sacrificing in ability/talent etc).

I’m still shocked with our rep and our defense that we don’t get MOST of the defensive guys or TEs we offer?!
Hell maybe we are more lucky than good…I’m serious, but we need EVERY defensive recruit going, I’d be STUPID for not going to Iowa!!
Yes I did forget Dan Campbell as a factor. I was impressed with him…he sees something! Culture building is a huge factor and one you and I, both believe in!!
PS…still high! We need him to perform as much as Lions. Strong I know, but great for our rep!!
