Nole brothers and sisters help me out. Heading there for work. Last minute directive from the boss, late night flight. I'll likely be there all week. Good happy hours? Steakhouse? Seafood? TIA

Jacksonville has more land area than any other city in the contiguous United States, with a total area of 874.3 square miles.

What part of town are you lodging at?

Stay in Savannah and commute? As was pointed out on our old site after a bowl game in Jacksonville many years ago, "that town is a lot of fail."

Many years ago that was true. Today Jacksonville has truly grown up. But like most big cities, you have to know what parts of town to stay away from.

Plenty of room for fail and way more great spots. After day 2, Savannah sucks ass, BTW.

If you're staying near the airport or just want some dinner after you land before journeying to whatever part of town you're staying at, I HIGHLY recommend the Flying Fish Taphouse on Airport Road.

Sit at the outside patio and get the "Shrimp Grits & Tails"....

You're welcome.

Not many unique tastes here, but Larry’s Giant Subs, Bono’s or Sonny’s bar b que aren’t bad.
