Ford brought them back from the brink - dismal quality in the 70s-80s until Ford bought them and ditched some of those stupid suppliers, namely Lucas electrics.Trying to polish those turds. Its still a Ford!
Ford gets a lot of hate, but if we look at each of the domestic automakers body of work, Ford has the best track record by far.Ford brought them back from the brink - dismal quality in the 70s-80s until Ford bought them and ditched some of those stupid suppliers, namely Lucas electrics.
2003-2009 Jags are actually the best of the breed and hold up well. Ford did that.
Brand won't survive thru end of the decade now
They do know how to make a great ad.That was horrific. From now on I’m only buying Aston Martins.
The original marketing campaign was best:
Ouch, there isn't even a car in the ad...
Anyone who wears a mesh t-shirt should never be listened to.
Agreed. And it's the 4th most offensive thing about it. The rhinestones and glitter just scream "auto worker".Anyone who wears a mesh t-shirt should neve be listened to.
That's such 2023 thinking bro!I'm no marketing genius but shouldn't the product you are selling appear in the ad?
This should go well
That’s the problem. Some take positive and appropriate initiatives and go way too far.
Exactly. That’s the problem. Some take positive and appropriate initiatives and go way too far.
If I was CEO, I’d fire a few people today. If I was the board, I’d be asking if the CEO approved all this.Exactly.
Nothing inherently wrong with working to improve diversity and tolerance within your workforce. But making DEI the cornerstone of your brand and the direction of your advertising and marketing is stone cold stupid.
See what we've been talking about regarding fascists/nazis becoming more prevalent on X?Jesus......
Couple things with that:See what we've been talking about regarding fascists/nazis becoming more prevalent on X?
The point is, nearly every tweet/X that gets any traffic is now inundated with white nationalist/racist bullshit comments.Couple things with that:
My response was to the emblem.
"No one" is an idiot and should rightly be ridiculed.
That had 3 views when I clicked on it to see it in its entirety.
I recognize that I'm focusing on the wrong thing here, but did they misspell "pre-owned" on their ad? Looks like "pre-owed" to me, which is still maybe accurate, but I don't think it's what they were going for. They do know how to make a great ad.

I am extremely doubtful that is an actual advertisement.I recognize that I'm focusing on the wrong thing here, but did they misspell "pre-owned" on their ad? Looks like "pre-owed" to me, which is still maybe accurate, but I don't think it's what they were going for.
I deleted my account. The point is, nearly every tweet/X that gets any traffic is now inundated with white nationalist/racist bullshit comments.
Hence why people call X a sewer now under Musk's leadership.
Anyone who wears a mesh t-shirt should never be listened to.
ESPECIALLY then!Even if said person is too sexy for their car?
Joe Rogan truly has become such a right-wing grifter. Tata is enormous and barely moved.

So 18 months ago, this was the thought on Jag by JLR design boss Gerry McGovern "Jaguar wants to bounce back from “mediocrity” and it will do it by targeting rich American buyers with polarizing designs."
Guessing they haven't figured out who their market is, are changing direction too fast and have picked an ad campaign / rebrand and logo that doesn't appeal to anyone.
Iconic brand going the way of Zenith tvs...
Everyone I know drives European autos. Tons of BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Rover. None have Jags except my Mother in Law, and she just dumped it.So 18 months ago, this was the thought on Jag by JLR design boss Gerry McGovern "Jaguar wants to bounce back from “mediocrity” and it will do it by targeting rich American buyers with polarizing designs."
