Jameer Outsey

That's what I'm seeing is that Wisnieski may have passed him on the depth chart, good luck Jameer!

We are loaded at TE so not incredibly surprising.

Wisnieski's time is now. Or never. Time to become the player he was meant to be. Top 25 in his class at position. Outsey was said to be more of a blocker than a hands/route guy. Fant probably get freshman nod over Hockerson and Beyer but TE looks to be a strength in coming years. Could Drew Cook be moving to TE if Stanley proves to be real deal? Cook does have the pedigree.

I thought Outsey would do well when he arrived on campus. He had the athletic skills, but never found a position to excel at. Apparently he didn't see himself getting out of the doghouse and if he was passed on the the depth chart (or could see it coming) he probably felt it was time to leave.

He and Juan are talents I hate leave the program, but I'd rather see them go then stay and have bad attitudes.

Let's have a good recruiting weekend. Next man in.

I hate to see him transfer, because I think he could be very good, but it seems like he didn't have a good spring and didn't progress like the coaches expected.

Any word on why he is leaving, he was moving up depth chart quickly for someone who completely flipped positions.

He earned quick PT last year, but didn't play a lot late, and was seemingly overshadowed by all the other TE during the offseason and Spring ball.

He dropped to 4th string in the spring and that's not counting what Fant and Hockenson may do when they arrive. Believe the writing was on the wall for him. Good luck to him wherever he lands.
