I was the youngest guy at my precinct by a minimum of 15 years. I rolled in at approximately 5:30pm after leaving the office and was shocked. I’m in my mid 40’s and the only people there were 65+. My wife is 34 and she didn’t vote in the primary and neither did any of her siblings or friends. It’s true, younger people aren’t as active during the primaries and it shows.

Congrats on having a wife 10 years your junior.

why did dems vote for him in iowa and all those elections prior to this false, invented, biden uprising then? was he popular then? did I just think up all the iowa votes and so on? the truth is: people were voting for him. he had great rallies with like 30k people showing up. the people liked him. why throw that out?

and they turned out for bern in 2016 and they were starting to also in 2020 but the dnc power brokers told them , now, with biden, to go home and sit down and shut it.

Iowa Dems tend to be more “left” than national Dems. Bern is about as “mainstream” Dem as Trump is mainstream GOP. BTW...this Iowa Dem sure didn’t vote for Bernie. I admire Bernie’s fire and passion...it forces the rest of us to think in new directions and that makes him good for the process and the Party. You will note that Bern’s supporters did not bother to vote in the ‘16 general election....if they were indeed Democrats, they would have voted for Hilary.

Bernie will get his ~25 to 30% of the far left vote like he did in Iowa. However, going first means all the candidates are in the field to start. Had Pete not been there (who I caucused for) I would have done so for Amy or Biden.

Most of Pete and Amy's supporters (more moderate dems) would have gone for Biden and he likely would have won Iowa had they not been there. That is happened last night.
