We have a nice dilemma at LB in coming years. Lots of talent. Very nice dilemma.
What I'm most impressed about is how well the guys play together as a group ... and how each guy prepares to be the "next man in." Kudos to the players ... and kudos to Wallace for cultivating that sort of supportive, yet competitive environment!

His HS tape was pretty sick. HS defensive POY playing against the highest level of competition in Georgia says a lot.
Samson Evans was the Gatorade POY in Illinois and the Sun-Times POY in Illinois. He rushed for over 2,000 yards and scored a ridiculous number of rushing TDs (40 something?) last year alone playing against Illinois 6A teams. Evans' highlight tape is awesome as well.

If there is one thing we have learned after 20 years under Ferentz it is this: all of those high school honors and accomplishments mean zilch the first day of practice. Evans is not going to be handed a starting position because he was Gatorade POY in Illinois.. Same goes for McDonald.

I could see Neimann moving to the Mike next year. Opening competition at Leo. Or A 5-6 way battle at Mike between Welch, Jones, Doyle, Benson, and McDonald.
I think Niemann is too good in space and covering receivers to put in the middle. Welch at MIKE and Colbert at WILL seems like a great way to fill out the trio next year.

Agree Niemann is very good in space. Will depend how good Wade is. At end of fall camp he was pushing Niemann and talk was Niemann could move to Will to make room for Wade.

If Wade is third best LB. Niemann is most likely to move inside to get best 3 on the field
