Sooo, with the trials on the horizon, I see Mr. COX is cutting to 86kg??? Herbert, now Dake and Taylor in the mix, and isn't he a huge 197lber? Interesting and just a different topic since we're still close to our tourney finish...discuss
Wow, that is interesting news. I was thinking he was big for 97 also. I don't see him being in the mix with the top 3, but I could be wrong.Sooo, with the trials on the horizon, I see Mr. COX is cutting to 86kg??? Herbert is past his prime. He may be way to strong for Dake and Taylor, but they are way to slick and quick for him.Herbert is a beast. Way to strong for Sale/ Taylor. JDen may surprise folks
Why all the Northwestern "hate"?Would much rather see Dake and Taylor meet in the finals. Herbert has been a great wrestler both collegiately and in freestyle, but he is past his prime and I do think that Dake or Taylor would have more success internationally at this point.
No way he makes that cut. Which arm is he going to cut off? He complained about managing his weight for 197. How in the world does he get down to 184? I am calling it BS!Sooo, with the trials on the horizon, I see Mr. COX is cutting to 86kg??? Herbert, now Dake and Taylor in the mix, and isn't he a huge 197lber? Yep.I thought 189.5, could be wrong. I'm not sure either, because isn't Ruth at that weight also? It's stacked, and I know Snyder is the man above, but why not take your chance with him then with many others? I know that Cox wrestled several times at Hwt his sophomore year, and if Snyder would have stayed put at 97, he'd be up there now possibly. And lionlover, Cox already tweeted it, so you know it's true if it's on social media, lol. Regardless, whoever is going to be able to make the trials (not me unfortunately) is going to have a great weight to watch throughout. The entire event should be great, especially since it's in CHA, God's country.
Trials should be fun ....I am betting on Herbert to take it and Varner (not sure if he is wrestling) takes Snyder.
Always interesting upset in an olympic year.
Like Dennis's chances too.
Be cool to have Ramos, Dennis and Metcalf as the starting 3. JB is the guy. Herbert, Varner, green and Tarvel round it out. Dennis and green are pretty open classes. I like the Varner/Snyder match up.
I'm not following? You know Ramos and Dennis are at the same weight right?I am betting on Herbert to take it and Varner (not sure if he is wrestling) takes Snyder.

Injured the last I knew. 57kg same as Ramos and Dennis when he's not injured.I'll admit, I don't really follow freestyle at all, where's McD?
Varner is pretty good. Olympic year.
It gets weird out there.

Its not like he was a 125#. He's a 200lb + guy that was making 197 and competing a couple hours after weigh ins. An extra 8lb cut with a day before weigh in doesn't seem that big a deal to me. He'll have plenty of time to rehydrate and a full night's rest to recover before competing. That day before weigh in/limited competition schedule/allowances at many events are reasons a lot of guys compete at lower weights than their collegiate weights when they hit the international circuit... that and World Champs in your way to make team.If true, that is pretty stunning. Hard to see him getting to 86kg.
My bad. I stand corrected. Cox was a monster at 197. This will be fun to watch!Isn't the weight 189? Jesh

Which he probably is for non-Olympic events. I don't know all the particulars as far as the 2 additional weight classes (I think its 2 more right????) when the Olympic cycle isn't in play (Worlds the same way?? - I don't honestly know and not important enough to look it up...............).Yea, woke up and my memory returned.
Kids, don't mix late night whiskey, old movies and a lap top. EVER.
The USA site still has him at 61.

Dake is our brightest young hope besides JB. Kyle walks around at 185. No way he handles the strength of Herbert. Especially, 2 out of 3! Cox is very tough. A bit green right now, lots of upside. He won't be top 3! I like Dennis at 25 also. I also think Retherford wins 65. Zain is a former world cadet champ,I think.

Did Ron Jeremy make an appearance?

Oh, Zain must have ordered your book How to Beat Logan Stieber.
