Jerry only hires puppet HC's....he would get ZERO satisfaction out of winning if the head coach was getting all the credit.
Kirk places very little importance on recruiting and gets MAXIMUM satisfaction on winning during years where they were NOT expected to do much....he gets off on seasons in which he gets to hear how well he coached up a bunch of 2 Stars and walk-ons. If he surrounds himself with a bunch of 4 Star skill position players, they get all the credit for being the real difference makers.
