Jesus too liberal for modern evangelicals

I wasn't giving my views...just the Democrat's views.
You have a weird thought that you understand other people’s Point Of View. You don’t.
Why do you pretend to represent “the church”?
You promote drump, rather than the church.. Weird take.
He does not promote Christ like actions. Not at all.

I don't promote Trump or consider myself a representative of any church.

You stated you have me on ignore, you probably missed my 100 posts where I called Trump a sociopath.

I can understand why many support Trump considering the Democrat's relentless promotion or abortion and other issues like transgenderism.
Jesus had a lot to say about these things, eh? Please, tell us what Jesus' feelings on abortion were. Or, actually, any part of the Bible for that matter.

I read the Washington Post about 3 days a week. It's still left-leaning. Bigly.

I don't think it's changed much since Bezos purchased it. He doesn't control the daily reporting.

It's about more framing, holding back information, ignoring stories. It certainly isn't a progressive place. More neoliberal and corporatist type place. Their stories on Bernie in 2016 and 2020 certainly showed the bias.

In 2024 they decided not to endorse either candidate which was Jeff's decision. That's pretty not liberal considering what Trump is.

Jesus taught to obey the Commandments, one of which is "Do Not Murder."

Regardless, Jesus didn't explicitly condemn every bad action...He never condemned incest, as an example. That doesn't mean Jesus supports incest.

All of the press does this.
Omission is their most powerful tool of influence.
How many of your favorite news sources cited the Magdeburg terrorist yelling "Allahu akbar" to the polizei?

I have read the Washington Post 3 days a week since 2013. They weren't in the bag for Bernie. They're not that far left.

They were definitely in the bag for Hillary in 2016 and 2020, though.

They didn't endorse a candidate in 2024, that's true. Their overall reporting hasn't changed much otherwise, at least in my experience. They're still left leaning overall.

Regardless, I posted a clip of Harris on abortion so her words speak for themselves.

There is certainly some of this in all Christian denominations. Whether it’s the biblical word for evangelicals or the tradition for Catholics, an unfortunate number of Christian’s forget that Christianity is both law and mercy. Of course sometimes they are often egged on by modernists who like to accuse them of hypocrisy for not always being literal, so that doesn’t help matters.

Define woke. If the bolded parts are to be woke. Why do we talk about someone being woke. No one in America lives up to the terms you bolded.

Awareness of/sensitivity to social issues and racial injustice. Basic kindness/love/compassion. You know, bleeding heart Jesus-y type stuff. What do you think it means?

I rarely heard the term until MAGAs added it to their narratives and now I hear it frequently and always in a negative way. I've given Trump credit before on his ability to control narratives. He is a master at creating and controlling narratives.

I have no idea because a woke person in my mind doesn’t do any of those types of things.
I hear liberals are “woke” but see those I’d consider woke, calling others stupid all the time and hating on MAGA.
The GOP clearly isn’t Jesus like either.
What is woke

Promotion? LOL. TIL not restricting people's rights based on the "teachings" of some sky wizard is also promoting them. Who knew?

You put off very strong IAFB vibes. You have lapses like this, and use the exact same posting style. You try not to do it, because I've called you on it with your Woodycantjump handle that is now deleted. But then there's posts like this, which is exactly how ol IAFB posts.

That would also explain why I had never seen your handle before, you can started attempting to talk shit to me over the last couple weeks.

So the part where the Bible says "Life begins at first breath" doesn't count?

Here's one:

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I sanctified you; and I ordained you a prophet to the nations”.

- Jeremiah 1:5
