Great questions. I suspect our coaches will have to answer following the game. For now, I'm going to trust we pay them for a reason.
Has hockaday played a down this year? I didn't think he had and was thinking they were silently red shirting him to give him two years after josey.
Okay I missed it... is this actually happening? Ward is actually our starting MLB and Gervase is starting over who? If you say Hooker I'm going to punch a wall.
Niemann moving to MLB and Ward playing outside. Hooker still starting, why would you replace 2 starters at Safety when only one is needed.
I believe Hockaday was Josey’s replacement against Illinois. I think Ward is playing Leo today because he is probably up there as the most mobile lb being a converted DB. Also NW tries to get a wr matched up with that position and run a lot of drag routes. Neimann got replaced certain times this game for Ward last year.
Josey messed up his shoulder against Ill but came back in. I would have thought 2 weeks would have been enough. Snyder, who knows.
Strangely enough Jewell is warming up despite being listed as out. Or at least they just showed him warming up.
If he can play effectively, that is great! But if he can't, then it does more harm than good to have him out there.
I'm really curious who leaks this sort of thing to big gamblers and what they get in return.

Or maybe he's thinking about the spread attack our opponent uses and is looking to get more speed and less bulk on the field?
