Joe declines Super Bowl interview

He will at the State of the Union and like last year will decimate the Republicans by using their own words and actions against them.
Let me feed it to you correctly, Chis.

An interview is off the cuff and would require Joe to be coherent enough to answer questions. The State of the Union will be Joe Biden reading a speech prepared by others. Do you see the difference?

There's absolutely no way he'll be able to perform the former and the latter will be painful to watch, but he'll stumble through it. You'll come on here with, "That's my president!" so proud he was able to read the work of others (well, mostly). He'll get an B+ for content and a D- for delivery and you'll cheer saying, "That was so much better than what Trump would have said!"

See, you, like Joel, are incapable of just watching or reading something about Joe Biden without immediately lining it up against something Trump related. You suffer from "but Trumpism". You guys are the reverse MAGAs. Joe could stand in front of America and give a speech about how he thinks it's 1952 and ramble on about toothpicks and ice-cream cones and you'd just rant on with another "But Trump" justification. What excites you about Biden? Wait...let me guess. He isn't Trump. Guess what. My lawn guy isn't Trump either. Should we elect him?
Unfortunately, the USA has become a two party system and the leaders of these parties are seemingly forcing these candidates on us. Also, unfortunately, one candidate is old. The other candidate is also old, but he is also stupid, insane, corrupt, and anti-American, and also the leader of a cult of in-bred morons with no ability to think. Maybe, if you lawn guy could generate enough votes in the electoral college, I would vote for him. However, I voted 3rd party in 2016 and we wound up with the immoral criminal as president. And it may be because too many people voted as I did. I'm not defending their posts, but trying to explain why I, quite likely, feel the same way.

Just a point of order Alaska….the “1952 speech” is that referenced to Trump’s speech about him running against Obama and Pelosi?
What “excites” me about Biden is very little…except he has a realistic view of how the world works and how to keep America’s best interests at the nation’s fore….TRump…..I watched what he tried to do on 1/6/21…and he will do it again if given a chance. Trump is a TRAITOR! I didn’t define what a traitor is….it is defined by the Constitution and our nation’s Founding Fathers.
A. "1952" was a random number I pulled out of thin air.
B. Again, you were unable to type out a response without mentioning Trump, and 3x at that. I never voted for Trump a single time and he doesn't keep me up at night.

He's actually ok on the teleprompter. If he had stuck to that in 2020 he'd probably still president...but he can't.

Additionally...if he had let Pence handle the Covid briefings he'd probably still be President.

Rinsing organs in bleach left a mark...
Your opinion, but he was worthless at everything and he made no attempt to hide the fact that he was a corrupt, piece of shit person.

I disagree. I think he lost the Presidency by his complete inability to even fake handling the Covid crisis. Granted, you can draw a straight line from many of his mistakes while handling that to not having a teleprompter, but it was bigger than that. Even without Covid, I don't think it was the shoe in that people around these parts seem to think it would have been. Trump motivated 80 million people to go out and vote against him.

On the other hand, Covid did kill off a bunch of MAGA's so it is possible if they hadn't died there would have been more votes for him.

Joe didn't make the decision. It's more likely Jill made the decision. If not Jill, someone else on the team.
who gives a sh*t if joe isn't making decisions on which specific interviews he does or doesn't do? maybe if we were less concerned about how well presidents look or talk in front of a camera, we'd have better options available

i don't understand when people decided that presidents needs to SUPERMAN who single handedly makes every decision all by himself with no help or input from anyone else

some people may want an all powerful king, I don't

He's meeting with world leaders and congress and his cabinet and handling and navigating numerous chaotic situations well. Getting us landmark legislation and helping the economy turn around. If these things weren't happening then we have another story, we'd be talking about an unfit, mentally ill and in decline person which is also the GOP nominee with not one positive trait.

Yep this is where the Republican base is. They want a King. And they think Trump is that guy, depends and all...LOL

Alaska……make no mistake about it…it is the Republicans who have made this election all about Trump. Take the recently House refused border deal….the border deal that Senate Dems and Repubbers worked 4 months (taking direction from House Repubber leadership) to craft…..only to have the House Repubbers announce their effort was DOA (per Trump)…..
so buddyboy, make no mistake…until he is placed in jail, this election is all about Donald J Trump.

Does your lawn guy make fun of people, sexually assault women, and lie about everything? If not, he doesn’t have a shot with today’s GOP.

Nikki couldn’t beat ‘none of the above’ in the Nevada primary.

I guess it didn’t even get a thread.

Haley came in second place to “None of These Candidates,” losing by around 22,000 votes.

Overall, she received less than a third of the votes.

The race was called at 9pm PST, with over 60 percent voting for no one.
Yah, but I was talking about Pelosi, ya know, the person Trump thinks he is primarying against? See what I did there?

When did the President chiming in during the Super Bowl become a thing? Obama? It never was. Obviously it was then really used by the Apprentice guy who never should have even been a nominee yet pretend to be President. Pathetic

The repeated use of the word annual in all of the right wing articles about this is telling. It's not a tradition and anyone taking the position that it is and definitely should happen is f@cking lame. It's the Superbowl, who wants politicians worming their way into the superbowl?

Just another false narrative to fool so many stupid people amongst us.

Which is why we should have someone else. Now, it sure looks like Joe vs The orange volcano so hence the comparison to Trump. Joe takes heat for verbal gaffes yet the Trumpers will overlook his Haley/Pelosi mix up even though he said Pelosi like 4 times.

I count only two "Trumps". Better, but still work to be done.

If the choice was between your lawn guy and Trump I'm picking your lawn guy most likely.

Unfortunately this is a 2 person race. That's the price we pay for letting our politicians design the system so as to ensure only 2 parties.

No one is excited about Joe Biden or defending Joe Biden's senior moments. Our excitement for Joe Biden is . . . "Maybe we'll still have a democracy in 2028." because Joe Biden never tried to overturn an election, Joe Biden gaveled in Trump to be president in January of 2017 saying "It's over".

There's clearly no hope for those who still support Trump. I look at those people in two groups.

Group A. The only thing that matters is owning libs, to hell with character. These are the people that Trump said would vote for him even if he shot someone. He wasn't wrong.

Group B. Don't consume much media aside from a few segments of FoxNews. They don't have social media. All they know is they are Republicans. Trump is a Republican. That's who they're voting for.

My parents fell into Group B. I had to show them video after video of Trump's vitriol. Neither had ever seen any of it. Why? They're in their late 70s and don't have any social media other than FB. ...and on FB my mom just reshares food videos and Bible quotes and my dad just looks at some Jeep FB group. It wasn't real hard to steer them back into the light. Now, neither will likely vote for Biden, but at least they'll stay out of it and not cast another Trump vote. I call that a win.

The Democrats, though, are supposed to be the "superior intellect" and it would be nice to get some honesty from them. Something along the lines of, "Yes, it's pretty clear Joe Biden's mental health is declining. I'm not certain he's up to another four years. It's concerning to me and makes me want to evaluate the VP with a little more discernment than years past as it's likely that person will be running the country if Biden were to be elected to a second term." <-------------something like that.

But we can't have that conversation because it DOES NOT MATTER what Biden says, doesn't say is capable of or not capable of. He's better than Trump. Period. Who cares. Trump can kill a man and not lose support. Biden can forget what day it is and won't lose support.

Except for Joel and Chis. They love those moments. Every time Joe makes a gaff, Chis posts this:

Who cares what you think when you don't get the point anyway. Joe's dementia is significantly worse than it was 3 years ago. THAT'S THE POINT. Shouting intended because you seem angry. Oh.... if you don't want an all powerful king, don't vote for Biden. His administration has proposed many, many more regulations than Trump's. I only mention Trump because that's your basis for comparison. I won't be voting for either one.

Biden “stutters”…..It is a speech impediment….it is not a mental health/aging phenomena…..When did Joe forget what day it was? Do you understand the phenomena of “stuttering”? Methinks you don’t…..and dont really care to.

If he is still alive in 2028 he will just be a warm body kept alive with a ventilator.
Sadly that might be better then if he or trump were actually making any decisions.
We should go without a president for 4 years and put an equal amount of dems and repubs in office and make them actually work together for once to make decisions.

IMO, that's essentially what we'll be doing. We're electing a party, NOT a president. I guess it will have to work. It's mostly working now, but is it really sustainable for another 4 years? Can you imagine the behind the scenes stress that's going on each day to roll out Biden as the leader of the most powerful country on earth. Jill has got to be exhausted too. She's got to be thinking, "We should be retiring and enjoying life."

I hope before I die, we get the real story of what it took to keep the Office of the Presidency going. I often wonder what it was like during Reagan's last years as well. There had to be days where his staff was like, "WTF!?"

Did you miss the part where it's too late for a new candidate?! He's also the incumbent and has navigated massive world and domestic chaos very effectively while also negotiating and bringing about game changing legislation. If he wasn't an effective President I'd agree with you much more.
The fact that you think he has been an effective president tells me you are incapable of rational thought.

As opposed to wondering what kind of government and rules Trump and his MAGAts want to impose on America.

Biden has accomplished a plethora of positive things for America in his 3+ years of office. His “chips” legisl;action and “rebuild America” legislation are game changers….He was able to get the world’s cupply chain problems ironed out, record demploymdent in the USA, record corporate profits rebounded after Covid recovery……the list goes on and on…..only a Trumpian MAGAt could close their eyes and deny the facts of America the past 3 years.
But then hex…that’s when you are here, right?

So the choices are a "SUPERMAN who single handedly makes every decision all by himself" or "Invalid, who's unable to make consistently clear decisions and is showing signs of Dementia"?

Why are those our choices? Bill Clinton is probably one of the best orators of my generation and was clearly competent. I'm pretty certain he was being advised in his decision making, not led and directed.

You are a piece of work sometimes. Joe wasn't stuttering this past week when he claimed he spoke to Mitterand of Germany, um, France recently. Joe wasn't stuttering last week when he told gold star parents he knew how they felt because his son was killed in Iraq.
