That stat, plus his contributions in the game which his team beat ISU in Morgantown a few weeks ago proves one thing to me [+ the crowd 'shushing'];

Go Joe! And ISU continuing to show they are just a mediocre team that can’t consistently score. If they blow another game tonight they’ll start the Tournament with 14 losses and people still have them as a 4 seed?! That’s funny.
Glad Joe T. is playing well tonight thus far in Ames, but he stunk 2 days ago at Kansas. In 18 minutes he had 3 TOs, one of which cost the team a chance to tie or win at the end of the game, only 1 assist and 2 FTs.

I'll never be unhappy about Iowa beating ISU, but the Clowns are really tarnishing this season's victory by turning into a big steaming pile of manure.

There needs to be some kind of sensical way around this, though.
The way they keep harping on how important Q1 wins are, they make it seem like a team could be 14-14 right now, but nearly securely in the Dance if 9 or 10 of those wins are of the Q1 variety, even if only 1 or 2 of those were on the road or at a neutral site.
There has to be a trade off, at some point.
Like ISU; I don't know if they are or not, but there's no way they should be on either the 4 or 5 lines currently. They shouldn't be any better than a 7, and even that is stretching it.

You mean like Ulis does consistently? Joe was leap years better as a defender than Ulis as well. We are sorely missing his play this season.
Love how a turnover is a bigger issue than lack of defense that leads to east buckets.

Don't get me wrong. When Joe is good, he's really good, and could have helped the Hawks this season. But like at WVU, he would have to come off the bench. Lots of minutes for Good Joe and very few if it looks like Bad Joe has shown up. Tonight in Ames, it's Good Joe.
I said it once and I'll say it again. We could have used Toussaint this year.

Miss Joe T in a Hawkeye uniform. Happy for him and WVU should be in the dance now. He was phenomenal tonight.
JoeT comes "home," goes 19-7-3, and likely propels his team into the Dance. Absolutely love it. The Clones going from talking trash about their "superior" program to possibly playing opening day of the Big 12 Tourney is just delightful.
Iowa St loses to the B12T's 8th seed on Senior Night. Not only that, but got swept by them. 2 of WVU's only 6 conference wins came at the expense of the Clones.
