Obviously some of you were never “ joe cool” enough to have a nickname growing up. If you did your friends would have laughed at you for suggesting anyone be named joe cool.
Sounds like a cigarette reference. No thanks.
Simple weezy or wheezy with the three symbol.
This. He already has a nickname. It's Weezie and that's that.

Like the Camel cigarette guy?
Murray Wier? Not to mention several nice defensive plays, turned Cincy over at half court on the press, and blocked their 6'11" centers shot at the rim. Great all around game from "the kid from Muscatine". Seriously, when is the last time that sand bar on the Mississippi has gotten this kind of love?
This is where he really reminds me of Hummel. He is fearless driving to the bucket, and usually scores with an "and 1". His outside shooting will only add to his ability to get around defenders for easy buckets. What is exceptional about Joe is that he is a great outside shooter, but it really one of the few Hawks that can effectively take the ball to the rim. He's off to a great start and is destined to be one of the all time great Hawks.
thanks HawkDrummer for getting that pic to post. I could not get it to. I like the gold shirt in Iowa colors.huh? You're thinking of Joe Camel.
This...is Joe Cool.

Yes Joe Cool seems to be on track to be a great all time Hawkeye. His all around game and play is kind of like Nic Baer taking his talent to the next level up. Nic plays like Joe in spurts and Joe Cool has the ability to do it longer in games so has better stats. They are both pretty clutch. Just behind JBo clutch.Agree. I look for this young man to be one of if not the greatest Hawk of all time. I’d like to see him surpass Marble scoring record—their freshman totals are within 20 points.
I think he's our best defender and rebounder right now. He's our best finisher and second best 3 point shooter behind Bohannon. He's just a complete player. The ability to get more drives to the basket will come more in the next couple of years. Plus he's a very unselfish player. Can't wait to see him when it becomes his team. It seems like he'll develop that take over games ability.Joe Wieskamp can play defense and rebound. He
scores from 3 point land and also drives to the bucket.
He is the complete package that you want in a Big
Ten basketball player.
As a freshman he has 11.1 points per game and
377 total points. It is good to see a Hawkeye freshman
with a double digit scoring average.
I think his defense is still pretty inconsistent. He seems to get burned a couple times a game. It’s just inexperience and strength. I do think he wil be a great defender by next year. His length gives smaller players fits and he’s awesome on the point of the press. Really a pleasure to watch and already one of my all time favorites.I think he's our best defender and rebounder right now. He's our best finisher and second best 3 point shooter behind Bohannon. Agree. I like a simple Weezy. I also like Threeskamp.Sounds like a cigarette reference. No thanks.I’m partial to “Joe Cool”

I need to get these old eyes of mine checked. At first I thought it was Joey Brackets.I've heard he was Joey Buckets on his AAU team. Much better.
