Are his injuries to back and shoulder really bothering him a lot? I am positive he has been coming off curls and is as open or more so than in January when he was taking and making jumpers. Now it seems he doesn't even shoot them when he has a slight opening. Just wondering what others think.....

Unfortunately something has to be wrong. He hasn't been the same since the injury. His shot all year was dynamite. Best shooter ever in a Hawkeye jersey. Ever. You could guard him tight, right in his face, and it would not matter, Jok would score.

Hopefully he recovers before the season ends, but I do not think that will happen. I am thinking he needs several weeks rest. Something this team could not afford this year.

However, Jok can be of value in other ways. You still cannot leave the guy open. He draws a lot of attention. He has been quite the decoy lately, and that opens up our offense. Peter has gotten better at driving and dishing. Moving with the ball and finding someone. As long as PJ plays within himself, and not force his play, he can still make us a better team.

I am holding out hope Jok breaks the all-time B1G free throw record this week. Drain them Jok, down with Alford!

I'm not sure his injuries are bothering him that much now. Granted he has missed more lately but teams are real physical with him and that has to be tiring. They are up in his jersey and it has exposed his major flaw with his ball skills. I'm not sure the injuries he has had has effected that.

The less forced shots he takes the better.

Hes not injured hes getting held allot, somtimes it gets called like vs Indiana where he shot 23 free throws, sometimes the reffs will allow it. Usually on the road.

Jok should followed a sexual harassment suit against the Big Ten for all the unwanted contact Big10 Refs have allowed against him this season.

He just isn't a physical guy and when other teams really get into him, he just isn't the same player. To his credit he's not forcing a lot of stuff but the ball still stops moving when it hits his hands, this is a real problem.

You may be right best ever shooter at Iowa. Not sure.

Did you ever see John Johnson or Fred Brown? Both could shoot lights out too
Johnson averaged 27+ points his senior year with no 3 point shot line. Freddy once scored 58 points in an NBA game. Jok is so smooth!!!!

Loved JJ and Downtown, but Jok would have been the defensive stopper on those clubs. Ralph teams were the absolute best to watch.

I don't believe Peter is totally healthy. He seems to have lost some of his quickness and lift on his shots. Part of the problem is that he takes, and until recently, made tough shots. Now the refs are allowing him to be held, pushed and bumped and that is making it difficult for him to even get open enough to get a tough shot off. The refs seems to have totally foregone their mandate to provide freedom of movement for the offensive player and that has directly affected Jok.

The book is out on him. Beat him up, cause he's not physically strong enough at this moment to fight through it.

I just think he's worn down. Everybody has aches and pains right now at this point and he does have his fair share of real injuries he's fighting through...but the load he's carried this year, he's never experienced before.

Right now, his best role is to decoy...dish to the open guy as he draws the defense in, and do all the little things he can do cause opponents are not going to let him go off.

If he gets to the line, more the better...but as we've seen, not all crews are going to call it.

An example of his loss of shooting skill is the next to last shot at Wiscy. He was pretty wide open and missed it. Early in the year, I would say that was about a 95% shot. There are several others where he was open too.
