Josh Ogundele

What I've seen I really doubt he ever has an impact at Iowa...HOPEFULLY I'll be wrong...

Les jepsen got off to a bit of a slow Start too. But by his senior year he was bringing a lot. Sometimes it takes the big guys awhile to get there. Don’t know if he will bring much help next year though. And unless nunge gets some improved health we may Have some problems next year. Transfer maybe ?

When I saw him against Nebby, size wise he's in the Trevion, Kofi aircraft carrier group. Beyond the ALL AIRPORT TEAM, I believe he'll be at least adequate. Maybe more. If he can drop 30, will still be in the 270 range. 😎❤️🏀

Wow dropping 30 just to get to 270

Josh is a project right now but with time and work he will develop into a solid player.
That's very true. When you think about it, he still has 4 full seasons left (if all goes well). I think if the Hawks can get a JUCO or grad transfer post player, Josh can still be watching and learning with occasional moments on the court.

He has great hands from what I've seen. He also has a soft shooting touch and size/length that can't be taught. If the staff can help him to get stronger and some good footwork AND he puts in the work, he could end up being very good. He has 4-5 years to improve.

Don’t go to this thread in the lounge. People legit think he should spell Garza in the big 10 tourney and NCAA tourney.

I would be willing to bet money that Josh is at least Big Ten Honorable mention by his senior year. Gonna be a long path to get there though

He didn't get recruited as a DI player because of his sunny disposition, as early as next year he could be a solid contributor. Nobody knows how that will go right now IMO.

Can't disagree with you. I just think another post-player would be a good thing for next year's team. Mind you, not just 'a body', but someone who can be counted on to contribute significant minutes.

I don't see Fran going the portal / transfer route unless Nunge decides he is tired of all the injuries, surgeries and rehab and hangs it up. Fran is loyal to the guys he recruits and I think it is hard on him personally to recruit over players. With that being said, if he in his words found the right 'situation' with a 1-year guy that could give Josh O. another year to develop, he may consider it. If Pitino gets canned maybe the Robbins kid throws his name in the hat.

I think by his 3rd year in the program, he'll be at least a significant contributor, if not a starter. It looks like his biggest thing is condition and feel for the game. His feet look pretty good, and he seems to have better quickness/athleticism than Garza.

Honestly, I'd probably tell him to run 3-5 miles every day in the off-season, along with skills work and weights...the miles being the most important.

I’m thrilled he got in today
just wish he could have gotten a few real minutes in the regular season
Cockburn 0-1 FGA vs Ogundele
cokburn 1-2 FT after Ogundele foul

not nearly as over matched as people feared. = 1pt in 2 possessions

Kofi was eating Iowa alive. Could Josh have done any worse? I doubt it. Put a big body on Kofi and make him expend energy dealing with it. Worst case he picks up a couple quick fouls but Garza gets a rest and doesn't pick up any fouls. He moved pretty good sprinting down the floor albeit it 1 possession.
