I'll be amazed if this kid stays committed.

No. He wound up at UNLV, where he didn't play much and then transferred to UAB, where he played slightly more. What a blast from the past. I don’t think he ever amounted to anything. Did he follow Alford to New Mexico?
Diakite is about 40 pounds of muscle away from being able to play the 5. He is very much lacking in strength and plays more like a 3 for his prep school team. I think eventually he'll be a 4, but it's going to take a lot of work in the weight room for him to be able to hang physically in the Big Ten.Woohoo!
#68 overall composite rating makes Josh one of Frans best recruits along with Woody and Tyler cook.
Briscoe- rebounder defender at 4
Agui- 3/4 strong defender
Bakitide- athletic 5
Lewis- athletic 2- way small forward.
Good looking class to address rebounding/ defensive holes.
Now, get drew back for another year and retain the rest and maybe add another guard and we are ready to rock!
Welcome Josh Lewis!!
Seriously? I hope this is in jestI'm coming around to the idea of keeping Fran.
LOL it’s a loooong time til signing day.Don’t go to Vegas.
Big get, if we can hold on to him.
He is rivals#37 rated recruit who initially chose the local school due to strong relationship with the head coach who subsequently died.People having a change of heart regarding Fran because he got a guy previously committed to South Florida. Come on!
He also had offers from Auburn, Michigan State, Michigan, Illinois and Marquette. But don’t let that get in the way of your idiotic take.People having a change of heart regarding Fran because he got a guy previously committed to South Florida. Come on!
That's what I'm talking about! Spurlock getting the job done - big time!
Our NIL financial position must have really stepped up this year. I'm all for buidlding relationships and traditional recruiting but we're getting some highly rated guys all of a sudden.
Welcome aboard Joshua!
Yes, because I live in a fact-based world, instead of one where angry ramblings become reality.Does anyone really believe this kid could go to any of these other schools listed and he happened to choose a crap program and coach like Iowa?
Best post in the thread. No it doesn’t.
He’s a really good recruit, but one good player doesn’t turn an entire program around. But a great coach can turn a program around.
You give up this kid 10 times out of 10 if you have a chance of landing a coach like Devries
We all have been down on Fran since the total failures since the IU game. I get that, but take the good news and balance out your negativity a little. I'm still down on Fran right now, but I like the looks of the roster for next year, if it stays together. A couple of wins would sure help everyone feel better. Maybe the roster could help recruit Fran's replacementI can't believe after what we saw in Madison (giving up an arena record and in LA (down 33 points to an unranked team AT HALF), people are talking about wait until next year when we get these big time recruits. Does anyone really believe this kid could go to any of these other schools listed and he happened to choose a crap program and coach like Iowa?
I'm actually starting to think that as fanbase we deserve Fran until he dies. Then maybe we can get Connor back here to lead things.
Woohoo!

Congrats to Fran and staff for successfully gaining a commitment from Josh. This is usually the type of recruit we lose out on. Welcome the Hawkeye family Josh!

When he saw his ranking for the first timeI've seen him ranked as high as 37.
Hey try not to sign any recruits on your way through the parking lot! When he saw his ranking for the first time
That Curtisj guy might need to get some new material
Hmm … there seems to be some kind of pattern there. Can’t quite figure out what it is.
In a couple years, Curtis won't recognize the team. That Curtisj guy might need to get some new material
