Juan Harris!

I kind of feel bad for him. I didn't receive any mentoring or know what I wanted in life at his age, either.

Agreed. Back in our day, there wasn't social media to publicize to the world how much of a mess we were, though.

Even with that said, I don't feel sorry for the kid. He brought a lot of this disaster upon himself.

Dude is a nutjob.
Probably doesn't have the mindset to drop that 50+lbs, so who cares.....

IN MN and IL are in his "top 7" lmao

Offers from OSU, IA(prolly not now lol), MI, Bama etc and none of those make his top 7....but in, mn, and il do? Total wackjob lol.

If you are an interior defensive lineman....why would you pass on the opportunity to play with a kid of AJ Epensa's ability. If AJ becomes the kid most of os think he will..teams will have to scheme for him and that gives greater opportunity to the rest of the Dline.

The staff was more than patient with him and I would venture they would not offer a scholly now if he came begging.

I think Iowa has already invested too much time and effort

I would hope he commits to another school and forgets the wonderful opportunity he has passed up with the best line coach in the country

I agree I think Kirk Ferentz and staff probably told Juan to take a hike Gumby.

Really? Lol

Is knebby on his list? Any B1G east school may mean we would never see him in Iowa City due to the scheduling issues with 14 teams

I know it's "lame" and cliche but I hope the best for this kid.. he obviously has some talent and can maybe make some noise for lovie Smith.. just because he didn't pick Iowa and was way over dramatic about it doesn't mean I want to see him fail. Best of luck and move on

But he did pick Iowa....three times!

"top 7" Louisville, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska and Penn State
Apparently he finds them better choices than
Wiscy, Iowa, TN, Osu, Bama, Tx

The young man or the young man's family felt he had grown too big for Iowa. At least that is the indication you would perceive from a third de-commitment. Coach Ferentz recognized the signs, that this is a commitment that resulted in a third de-commitment and moved on. Good for Coach, the kid may turn out great, but you can't let disrespect like that go on forever. I don't wish him any ill will. Iowa will move on and recruit guys that want to be Hawks.

Are there any comments saying this kid is not a talented prospect given his size and mobility? Yes it's lame and cliche using the sad puppy dog victim route for a kid that decommits 3 times and if I recall was talking negative crap to other commits that were going to be his future teammates at Iowa.

Bottom line is there are just too many red flags with this kid. He could be a superstar but a lockeroom cancer or the type of kid that just quits, flunks out or transfers at the drop of the hat or for some silly reason. Let someone else deal with it. We can find another productive player that we can count on.

Picks Iowa in the past - tons of congrats and attention. Does his top 7 - crickets. Half of his Twitter followers are still Hawks. Going from a fan favorite to a school where no one will even recognize him.

I'm still in the frame of mind that his tweeting negativity towards fellow Iowa recruits was the last strike for him and Iowa coaches told him to move on. Until somebody proved otherwise I'll believe that. I don't wish him any ill will, I just won't be cheering for him wherever he lands.

I can't pretend to know what this kid is thinking, but it's not always about national prestige. I can't think of a reason that could compel me to go to Alabama. Heck yeah I'd take Minny or any number of "weaker" places over them.

Put me in the camp of (A) Hope this kid gets some guidance and solid foundation in his life so he can take advantage of his God-given ability, and (B) I am dang glad that he is NOT going to be a Hawk. Didn't I also see some place where he is going back to Wisconsin for his senior year of high school?

We all know what you're trying to do with that post, but your basis for making it isn't even correct. If you've been reading this board for the last few months, Iowa fans have already turned away from him. I have no idea who follows kids on Twitter, but it sure as hell isn't me (not even on Twitter).

I have no inside knowledge, but I'd have to think KF cuts ties after a 3rd decommit.

I'm glad we're not top 7. Seems like he would be more trouble than he is worth.

Not trying to do anything. I'm with - glad he's gone because he's a lazy head case. My point was before decommitting he had people who knew him since he was living in Iowa and would root for him at Iowa. Now he will be just a face in the crowd at another school.

I just noticed Rivals list his home town as Janesville WI something tells me he doesn't want to deal with the 3 commit 3 de-commit thing living in IA.
