Julian Chlebove

His father was coached by Zeke and they have a relationship - thus the early commit.

Kid has leaped levels over the past year and is a great wrestling prospect. That said, I don't see him ending up at Iowa or PSU at this point for many reasons, primarily the fact that he is already committed. But I guess things could change.

If he get Sasso, then I think we have a chance with him.

Can someone provide a phonetic spelling of Chlebove's name? I've noticed him in the rankings but have no idea how to pronounce it.

IMO Sasso is heading to Ohio st. Hope in wrong

I'm certainly not tight with the family, but have met them a few times and spoke to them recently. I know that is his mother's preference, but have also heard them speak very well of Va Tech - even after Dresser left for ISU, they knew Robie was getting the job before it was announced and speak highly of him. Also knew that Iowa was in the mix as he had spent some time at a camp there a few years ago and loved it. I had the impression that things were very much up in the air recently, but things can change in a hurry. Nothing would really surprise me, but sounds as if you know some things.

Actually, the top five article from FLO was brought up and their reaction was that was an outdated list that Sammy had told someone quite a while ago. I got the impression that the three mentioned above were the three main contenders, but, yes, one of them was very big on tOSU. His dad is much more close to the vest on this stuff.

All would be great choices for him. A lot of stuff has been posted before about risks, but as I've stated before he's a very nice kid, very young for his grade and sometimes kids will be kids before they mature a bit when they are getting close to making big decisions as upperclassmen. Nothing in his background that normal teens - and many wrestlers, btw - don't go through. His parents are real good people and parents are good indicators of children's future behavior, IMO.

He's at kid who obviously loves to wrestle and works hard at it, which is half the battle when it comes to succeeding in college. The other half will be a good environment to avoid common college distractions and all of those places will surround him with that and like-minded athletes who want to succeed.

Bring this up because there can be a sentiment on this board that slants towards Iowa and sometimes when things go the other way in recruiting it can lead to a backlash against both the kid and the coaches doing the recruiting. Not picking on HR because the same thing happens on BWI with some. Whatever their decision is, it will have some very good reasoning behind it as, again, all three have merits. There are tons of factors that go into this on both sides. He will be able to accomplish what he wants at each place.

And not saying he doesn't end up at Iowa as, again, I was under the impression it was really wide open. But what Ihawk stated would certainly not surprise me one bit. And take what I say in regards to his top choices with a grain of salt as it comes from snippets of conversation.
