Terry looks like an athletic JBo. Looks longer than listed 5-11, but good all-round combo guard.

Hawks really could use a top PG in the 2019 class.

I agree. Terry could be JBo 2.0- shooter + athletic penetrator. But duplicating JBo's grit is another thing.

Coaches will have a much better feel for a player's grit and hustle than you can get from a video. He does seem to play some defense, can penetrate, can shoot, and is already good at moving without the ball, which sometimes takes players a few years of college to develop. I don't know where Terry is on Fran's wish list, but he looks like he could be a good addition.

Terry's team plays Adidas in Virgina july 12-16, then Minneapolis 21-23, Adidas Las Vegas 26-30.

Carton plays in MIlwaukee a couple of times then in Kansas.
In that Carton has D1 offers..if Iowa doesnt offer during or shortly after the July period...Wisc is probably the leader & wouldnt surprise me he verbals.

Not sure on Lecure schedule. It will be interesting to see where the Iowa coaches head out to. With that we may know who they see as a future PG to replace JBo.

I try to be a realistic fan, but with time to focus on 2019 and 2020 classes I have high hopes for what the coaching staff can pull in. With two top 50 (or better) players on their way the next couple years the opportunity is there to really sell what Iowa has to offer.

I really don't. Obviously they like Terry because apparently they offered. I'm pretty sure he did a non-official visit last fall at a football game...but they also have a couple of other offers out there like Francis & Watts. I see Northern Iowa has offered Terry.

We also know we are 2 years out...with JBo being a senior by the time a class 2019 kid would be on the roster. And lets not forget that Connor McCaffery is practicing with the team...with a redshirt would be starting his soph year once a 2019 kid would come into play. So with that...Fran isnt in a situation where he has to decide who to offer this month....if anyone.

I do think the offer to 2020 kid Beard is interesting...which might fit in he doesnt feel any pressure to "have to offer" a 2019 PG.

Closer to Carton..if Iowa doesnt offer..I cant see him waiting around much past July..cant blame him.

Lecure is really interesting. But some wonder about his maturity. This is where Fran does a great job IMO. Was told by one HS coach he thinks Lecure has the best 'point guard' skills in the state.

So again will be really interesting to see where the Iowa coaches head out to.

I haven't seen all of the best, but I have seen a bunch of them. I would agree with the coach. Locure is really quick, great handles, excellent passer, attacks the rim and is getting better with his shooting. My biggest questions are his size (he's smaller than JoBo) and that the times I've seen him he isn't always into the defensive side. When he is, he's a really good defender. It's definitely more of a question of desire than ability. Keep in mind, I haven't seen him play with his DSM North team, just AAU and fall league, so the defensive thing might just be situational.

I can say this, I wouldn't be up in arms if Fran offered and he accepted. He has HM athleticism and skills.
