Justin Stickley

I know he is in another class but are we hurting our chances of getting Lee?? I like this get in stickley. Anyone know more about where Mejia and Renteria will shake out weight wise and now adding Stickley? Will these guys get up to 133, 141, still leaving 125 open for Lee? Just interested in what people think.

Mejia, Renteria, and Stickley will not deter Lee from coming to Iowa if that's where he wants togo.

Is lee a realistic possibility?
Not being a smart ass. I just hear this going back and forth for a while and wonder if we are really in the hunt.

Iron sharpens iron mantra I'd like to think. Lots of lightweight talent coming in the next 2 years. Not a problem at all...just great training for everyone

Why would bringing in the equivalent of a walk on deter a super blue chipper? I don't get it.

Super confusing 4th paragraph in the IAWrestle article. I enjoy their coverage but the level of editing there is pretty low.

Sounds like he is considering 3 schools and Iowa is one of them. So yes a realistic possibility.

Plus the biggest benefit of this move.... Marinelli dates Stickley's sister who is also attending Iowa. Many in the know speculate she is the main reason Marinelli flipped to the Hawks. So this move doesn't hurt in sealing the deal with the Bull, not that it hasn't been sealed already.

Man a kid will come to Iowa and first move here so only has in state to pay find that hard to believe thought only Penn State could do that...
Welcome aboard Justin. Eat lots of good food put on the weight.

Sounds like he wanted to have it wrapped up by the end of state but is rethinking it. Makes me think this is good for us.

So Marinelli and Lee can have a double wedding at Carver?

I wish more would do the same.

In 2015 Stickley wrestled a tough schedule, but managed it rather well taking fifth at the prestigious Ironman tournament and then second at the Ohio high school state championships at 106 pounds. After spending three years at the smallest weight class, Stickley bumped up and wrestled 120 pounds this season to finish runner-up for Graham. The move was beneficial for the team as they won their 16th (yes, 16) straight team state title.

Unless it was edited, I see nothing confusing at all.

In 2 years I'd be curious to see who is winning the room battles between Stickley and Wagner. Likely winner of that is the 125 backup.

It was edited. It was clearly a paragraph written prior to the season.

I think he is still 18 which isn't the answer you are probably fishing for.

Not fishing for anything I honestly was asking as the one guy was saying he was going to be 20 before he stepped foot on the campus at iowa this fall and I thought that seemed old.

We are considering it. Gonna cost us a year though so have to make sure it's right.
It makes a great deal of sense due to the amount of money that's saved. The kid can take part time classes and not fall behind much while still working out and even working part time. Learning some electrical or other trade would come in handy when they become home owners;)
