KJ was on pace for 2,130 yds & 29 TDs after Washington win. Shonn, in 2008, was 6th in the Heisman Vote & Doak Walker winner (1,850 yds & 20 TDs)

Let’s be honest Shonn Greene was a bowling ball, he would pin pong off of defenders into the end zone, KJ is much faster and glides past defenders he reminds me a lot of Larry Johnson who use to play for the Chiefs.
I think LJ is a great comparison. I hope Lester can get KJ on that RB screen like PSU ran with LJ back in the day. That was money.

The Iowa OL was a bit disappointing in '06. However, in '08 and '09 it was quite good. Had the group remained in good health in '09 ... that season would have been even better. Dace's injury definitely impacted things then.
May have been disappointing for that decade but better than what I've seen the past 4 years. The run blocking has improved this year, or maybe it's the backs that are finally letting the seam form, but giving the QB a pocket to set up in and locate/deliver a pass without getting lit up or running for his life? Uh Uh............. 2006 was better.

Thanks man! Great minds think alike! Doc must have been stalking this thread!

what does Kaleb need vs Ohio State to wake up the Heisman voters?
Kaleb would need a Tim Biakabutuka ‘95 Michigan vs OSU type game. Rushed for 300 yards against an undefeated OSU, they had Mike Vrabel, Shawn Springs, Antoine Winfield Sr. Biakabutuka overshadowed the eventual Heisman winner Eddie George in that memorable game.

IMO Kaleb I think would need at least >2,000 yard with 20 TD’s to be considered. I don’t think a QB will win it this year nobody to me has really stood out. Jeanty and Kaleb are probs making a strong case if they continue. Through 4 games Jeanty is outperforming Kaleb by 160 yards and 4 TD’s. It’ll be tough considering remaining strength of schedule comparing both teams.

Edit:
Shoot forgot about Jalen Milroe…

gonna need at least 200 yds & 2 TDs from Kaleb to even have a chance vs OSU, imo

Funny how quickly we've gone from "wow we have four good backs and can rotate them like crazy and use multiples" to "can we please just feed Kaleb the ball 30 times?"

Him showing He can be used in the passing game is elevating His stock just as much as the run yardage, He is a legit 3 down back in the League
