Kamala Town Hall Anal-ysis

And imagine how much better things could have been without all of the pile on spending under Biden/Harris,.. Being classified as the tallest midget in the room doesn't make you tall...
honest question, what do you think Trump would have done better re inflation?

His answers when asked this fall have been nonsensical.

Lolz. Got a link? I missed this. Election loons are a special breed

I was told last week that the only reason that I didn’t like her is because I was a misogynist. You would have to put my wife in that category as well. The one area I would disagree with the OP is that I do not think she is sincere. I really don’t think she has any true, core beliefs. It really looks as though she changes her stance based on what she thinks other people will like and will get her elected. I think other people see that as well and that’s another reason she is in trouble.
I did take a different tact than you. I will not vote for either of them as I’m not going to support what either party has put forth. Yes, Trump is horrendous, but she is pretty bad as well and why would I reward any party with a vote for putting her forward?

(Menace’s response)
Trump wanted to overthrow an American election because he’s a power mad narcissist. He used his office to profit from foreign governments (shitting on the emoluments clause of our Constitution) which has made him compromised. Over twenty of his campaign and administration staff have been convicted of felonies. Multiple administration officials resigned in disgrace over charges like bribery and corruption. Many others resigned due to Trump’s fascist tendencies. He wants to put political enemies and the free press in jail for reporting on his crimes. He’s a convicted felon who committed fraud and sexual assault. He led us into a manufacturing recession before Covid, which he botched his response to, all while saying it was a media driven hoax, and praising Xi as having it under control (while Trump’s daughter was miraculously getting Chinese business patents). And his cognitive decline is obvious as he goes on long word salad rambling responses. His brain is diseased.

But Kamala wants to take popular positions too much.

JFC, people like you and your dumb hoor wife are the problem with this country.

Lolz. I have a friend that might be I.Todd. Donnie done ruined him, turned him insane

She doesn't answer some questions very well but many strong leaders aren't always best in the limelight. I trust that she will surround herself with a strong cabinet and staff and do well for the country. And she isn't Trump so she has that going for her.

The latest chant at Trump rallies (replacing "USA"): "Heil Hitler - Heil Trump"!

I hear you, I just think you won’t get a “burn it down” point in your scenario. What you will get is a reinforcement of the current status quo if too many people think as you do. Kamala needs independents to win, Trump does not. So that path leads to a Trump victory and MAGA will feel vindicated. The GOP will continue its shift away from mainstream Americans. The Dems will over react shifting to the left as a response.

What I want is a chance for competent moderates to reassert themselves and for that to happen I honestly think MAGA has to be dismantled.
Which is exactly why I say burn it down. These are not sustainable strategies and as long as both sides continue to act like they are, well, we own the result. I have worked in business for over 30 years and a common saying that I happen to believe in is "the best deals hurt a little bit on each side." Nobody is willing to deal with the "hurt". "Winning" or "owning" is too important. This isn't real life. If people can't accept a little bit of discomfort, go play in the sandbox and let the adults talk.

We don’t disagree on the outcome we want. I guess we just disagree on the path to get there. Oh well, at least the Hawks are playing well…oh wait…

As you can see I voted for her. But guess what?

She's totally non responsive, her responses are canned, vague and don't address the questions whatsoever.

But I voted for her and still would until Trump is gone.

Think about it this way. The gop could have run a ham sandwich not named Trump and won in a landslide. But no:

You ran a bigoted, demented, cult leader who lives on your bigotry and racism and will most likely lose, bigly.

Let that bathe over you magats. This is your gop party now. You have excluded people like me who are confused by the availability of any sane politician and have instead given us awful choices.

Seeing this town hall is depressing but the gop needs a fking enema. Thanks for letting us win by running a 🤡
She talked about reproductive rights, and the unexpected consequences, in a way to also appeal to the pro-life crowd.

She talked about immigration, and clarified the strategy early on to deal with the increased numbers of illegal immigrants. Pointed out the executive orders are not permanent, they are only used if congress does not cooperate. And early on, they were working on a permanent solution with congress. Highlighting, once again, because apparently people still don't get it, the BS move by Herr Ronald Mcdonald Trump to thwart all that work.

She was in a room with lots of student age people, hardly anyone over 40.

Doesn't matter if the reponses sounded canned. She did what was needed, on CNN. This is all strategic. And meant to splice up to clips to put on social media as needed. The only thing that seemed odd, was some of the people who were selected by CNN. I.E. democrat who hadn't decided who they are voting for yet? That seemed staged. But either way, this wasn't gonna make a diff anyway, so it was a success in the context of playing it safe at this point, IMO.

Do tell. Many of my friends are Trumpers and I drive them nuts by debating them and pointing out his flaws. Which friend of yours do I remind you of?

Sorry bruh, my friend doesn’t associate with Trumpers, and my hoor wife and I are voting for Kamala in a blood red state.

You have an anger management problem, besides having narcissistic tendencies because who gives a sh*t what you think. 🥴

Trying to compare Kamala to Trump, as candidates, in any vein is completely ridiculous. People don't seem to like Kamala on feelings. If you don't like Biden's actual POLICIES, then fine, but the people who are afraid of her or don't think she's a good candidate aren't actually using facts or logic. What damage do you think she's going to do? What policy that she has talked about are you guys scared of?
Oh, let’s see…her unrealized gains tax stance, her supposed price gouging plan, health insurance for illegals, $25k tax break for those buying houses, which will simply drive up home prices…just for starters. Her other policy “stances” are unclear as she doesn’t articulate them, which is scary in itself. She apparently wants an open border based on her stance as VP, she didn’t see the need to even talk to the Israeli leader when he recently spoke to Congress, and flip flopping on other topics is concerning.

lol…I’m more informed than you and many on this board.

Look at Mr. Informed, who (since he’s so informed) lied and said the 25k was for “those buying houses”, when it is in fact ONLY first time home buyers. Am important distinction he didn’t want you to know (because he totally knew), because one small subset of home buyers getting one small portion of a home’s value is not going to be inflationary as he wants you to believe.

Q: If you are elected president, what will be your immediate priority?

Instead of how she responded, it would have been real easy to say:

"As I've repeatedly said, our immigration system needs to be reformed and addressed. Passing any law under our system requires a bill to be passed by both houses of Congress before I can sign it into law. That can be a time consuming and arduous process. I am committed to working with both parties for the best of the American citizenry. That said, there was a piece of proposed legislation that was hammered out by Republicans and Democrats to address some significant immigration needs. That legislation was tanked by my opponent for political purposes. I challenge the leaders in both the House and the Senate to bring the legislation back up for vote, pass the legislation, and I will sign it as soon as it hits my desk."

It's really not that hard.

I truly think democrats govern more close to centrist on social issues than Republican leaders say they do. They get accused of stuff that they aren't actually writing bills for - Republicans are VERY good at putting them on the defensive. If Kamala wins I bet very quickly they pivot to saying all us libs want men playing girls' sports which is patently false, but their voters will believe it.

The FAR left has no power in the party. The FAR right OWNS the Republican Party now.
will there be any pushback to legislation allowing only bio females in female high school or collegiate sport?

Depends. Glad, once again, Republicans are focused on the things that are truly important and affect millions of us. Republican leaders are REALLY good at getting you guys worked up over stupid crap. They know their base.

Entirely correct,.. Look what government money does to the cost of college tuition.
A first time homebuyer credit has typically raised prices by less than a percent to at most 2 percent. For exactly the reason I stated and you two fail to grasp: it’s a sliver of the market.

Concerns aside, academic research generally found that the various versions of the credit boosted home sales, and those studies that calculated a price change found only a modest impact. Dynan, Gayer, and Plotkin (2013) found that state-level downpayment assistance programs similar in design to federal programs boosted home sales by about 2 percentage points and raised prices by less than 1%—though the elevated prices persisted even after program expiration. Berger, Turner, and Zwick (2020) found that the credit increased home sales by about one-tenth (9.8%), while also raising prices—but typically by far less than the value of the credit.

What do you think Trump's tariff plan, mass deportations and federal worker layoffs will do to inflation and the economy?

Again, fully expecting you to avoid this question.

Tafiff plan -- minimal impact. We will likely see more companies onshore.
Deportation - minimum. We will likely deport a lot of bad actors, and slow the rate of illegals coming into the country.
Layoffs -- no big deal. They can take jobs in the private sector.

It's a question of scale,.. The volume of first time home buyer money associated with the Harris proposal will undoubtedly drive up home prices,.. Sellers will love it.
