He hasn't been too bad to Iowa but my goodness are they absolutely losing it.

"If the committee truly went by "eye test" or "who is playing the best" right now-- Oregon would be top 4. No Doubt."

Good thing his input means about as much as mine does to the committee.

I believe the eyeball test should be who are the best team all year long, Not just the best team the last couple of weeks of the season. If you just have to be the hot team at the end of the year, Rest all your starters till November than you can be healthy and pass the eyeball test late in the season.

Oregon has really come on nicely, is I think what he was getting at. They will have to back into the Pac 12 title game, let alone the playoffs

Guys, I don't think Iowa passed the eyeball test today.

Gave up 5/8 4th down conversions and 400+ yards on defense.

Two missed PATs and blown fake punt.

Sure, first 8 games should just be preseason and last 4 are what teams should be judged on...why not with the whole eye test weight being magnified the last few weeks

86,were you at the game? The weather was brutal and the wind was a huge factor.

I stayed till the end and my toes are finally starting to thaw out.

Would love to see some of those high powered offenses play in those conditions today. Field had a lot of slick spots. Wind was swirling. Classic BIG football.

I don't think he was actually suggesting Oregon should be in the championship... Just that they're playing well

yeah cause OSU was the prime eye test example and we saw how that turned out. Oh and I'm getting a kick out of how those kids handle a loss.

I know they beat USC but USC isn't that great this year don't know how people don't understand this. They already have 4 losses and barely beat Colorado last week. Yet people still talk as if they are a good quality win for Notre dame now Oregon. Was kanell drinking with Sark when he tweeted this?

Usually bad weather and wind helps the defense so not a valid counter point.

Won by 20 and are 11-0. Sucks for you guys but that's how it is.

They should just use the recruiting rankings to determine their playoffs.

Actually suggest a few weeks ago by Pollack and I think that is because that would put his Georgia Bulldogs back into the discussion. OBTW, They are getting beat by Georgia Southern.

I think the staff decided to let KF be old KF for 2 games this year. From now on we will be back to new KF football.

You guys are taking the context of what he's saying way too personally. There isn't one single solitary possible snowball's chance in hell he is saying that Oregon should be in the playoff.

USC after they kicked Iowa's ass in 2002 was playing better than anybody else in the country at the end of the season. They had 2 losses, and did not make the MNC...nobody considers they should have played in replacement of either Miami or OSU.

"But if they had went by the eye test only back then..."

Saw that #2 as well. JC, we need to stop dwelling on every little comment made that could, in some strange way, be construed to be dissing on Iowa. It is OK for him to praise schools that are playing better, like Oregon.

Danny is a smart guy...1-Clemson 2-IOWA 3-BAMA 4-Oklahoma...just for conversation...just win baby and all will take care of itself

Does that mean FAU is on the bubble?

why the hell even play games? just put teams out for 'eye tests'!
the mulligan masses get more love than winners......

Next year's ESPN college football headline in August: "Alabama declared national champions based on eye test. The college football season has been cancelled. Watch soccer."
