Kate Martin and Gabby Marshall have announced their return for next season…

I don't think Iowa is going to drop off too much next year. As freshman, Czinano and Gustafson shot 54.9% and 55.4% from 2. This year, Stuelke is at 64.3%. And she's already implementing some of Iowa's typical post moves down low. Plus Clark and Stuelke already have decent chemistry that they will develop more this off-season. I'm really excited to see what Stuelke looks like next year.

The big question as others have mentioned is who starts along with Stuelke. If it's O'Grady I really like the team's defensive potential. Stuelke's athleticism should make her a good defender with development. O'Grady has shown spurts of being a rim protector. Clark keeps getting better. Martin works really hard. And Marshall is one of the better perimeter defenders in the conference.

And rebounding could be a big advantage. Clark and Stuelke should be really good rebounders for their positions. O'Grady and Martin are average or better.

I like all your ideas. I would just add the SG has to be a great defender. Here is my prediction, assuming Kylie can fill that role:

PG: Clark/Davis
SG: Feuerbach/McCabe
SF: Martin/Affolter
PF: Stuelke/Gyamfi
C: Transfer/O'Grady
Davis is a grad transfer, I think she is done.

She was not a grad transfer. Kyle H today mentioned in a story she is returning for her 5th yr. Bluder mentioned this earlier in the season.

However, it’s interesting that no “official” statement or tweet or whatever hasn’t gone out mentioning Davis.

I missed that! I watched the game after the fact and fast forwarded thru quite a bit.
Right after she came out and sat on the bench, Lisa hovered over her and did some intense coaching, eye to eye. O'Grady seemed to take it well. She has a lot to learn. Lisa must have saw something she wanted corrected immediately.

Athleticism, quickness to the ball, fearless. Defense. These are her relative strengths vis-a-vis an under athletic Hawkeye team. Iowa has only 2 rotation players this year who are quick to the ball (Stuelke and Clark), and only 1 who is quick to the floor on a 50-50 ball (Stuelke). Kylie is a plus factor in both of these categories. Can contribute as a driver and transition scorer, though certainly needs to work on becoming a more consistent shooter.

The K-State and N.C. State games this season are exactly the types of games where Kylie could have helped.
I would agree Kylie is quick to the ball, and plays better rebounding position than most of Iowa's players. She has a nose for the ball.

I believe when she committed, she had stated her intentions to play 2 years.
