Hell, I don’t have to read about it! I was with my dad that Election Day as he traveled Chicago’s southside voting all day. I think he voted 8 times that day. He took me with him into the voting booth. He wouldn’t let me mark the ballots though. It was first election!

As it looks Trump will certainly be guilty in this case the question that should be asked is how does this affect the ‘24 election? Will Trump serve jail time? Will Kemp pardon him? Will Republicans actually nominate him when primaries get here? Finally how is Biden losing to this guy in so many recent polls? I guess the same thing can be said about all the Republican challengers as well. Could the Presidency from 2025-29 be done on house arrest from Mara Lago?

As much as I think trump shouldn't be eligible to be president there is no actual method to legally remove his name from the ballot with the exception of novel case law. The more the left leans into this charade the more his numbers increase. With kennedy currently going independent biden is going to be shedding votes like crazy (in addition to his terrible record driving away voters). Dangerous game the dems are playing..

It is definitely legal for Georgia to make a deal for Trump to agree to be taken off the ballot in Georgia. Essentially it would be Trump's choice to make a deal to accept a punishment different than the punishment prescribed by law. It's doubtful Trump would take such a deal. As far as agreeing to be taken off the ballot in other states, I'm not sure if that would be legally enforceable.
Kemp doesn’t have the authority to pardon. Georgia has a board that makes pardon decisions.

My comparison in 2016 was that democrats disputed state votes in the official congressional count. My reference to alternate electors was to 1960 Nixon v kennedy in the state of Hawaii. It is simple to see: the financial and corporate US interests, the true money pulling strings, have finally awoken to the danger of Trump and MAGA and are going to gut him like a fish. I think the Russian ties to MAGA that showed up in the universal desire to defund Ukraine and the then subsequent attack on Israel, Russia and Iran helped pull the strings, on broke the camels back.

Dig up polls from 2010. The bulk of them had Obama desperately under water. Polls are meaningless at this stage when you do not have a set opponent, and real ramifications of a vote are not at stake. The best hope for Republicans is that someone like DeSantis or Haley keeps limping along and can be there when Trump has a grabber.
