Darn, beat me to it. We are 5-1 against Top 15 teams. Who would have thought we would be sitting at #1 22 games into the season on one of the most well respected CB ranking services out there? What a crazy year for sure, savor it, as it tastes great...

Despite the lackluster second half, Iowa out-performed Penn State's previous opponents significantly. KenPom is all about adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency. And since none of you are in my pool, when the NCAA's come around, don't flip a coin on the 8-9 and 7-10 match-ups. KenPom will serve you well, especially if there's a difference of 10+ spots in the rankings.

So many half glass full people around here. Even in the midst of great things happening around them, they have to try and create a reason to poop on it, down play it, etc. it's almost like, that's great and all, but did you win a NC? Or even if we did, it would be by luck, or by not enough margin, or one isn't good enough...call me when you have 2-3 in a row
Also, what the #1 ranking means, from KenPom is that IOWA would be Favored over
ANY other team in the USA, on a neutral court, currently.

The selection committee uses this, and other basketball metrics, in addition to just RPI.
Not glass half full at all. My point is if I pick up the paper tomorrow I won't be seeing the KenPom rankings anywhere in it. I will see the coaches poll and the usa today poll, but no KenPom.
Why do you care what other people see or think? If you know the KenPom rankings are about as good a system as there is, and your Hawkeyes currently sit at #1 through twenty-two games, then just rejoice in it. As an Iowa fan, you should know by now we can't care what others think. That is who we are. We are hard workers, slightly under rated, slightly over looked and play with a chip. Screw what others care and think.
Those idiots lean heavily on RPI even though its been exposed as having big flaws.
