Texas public schoolingunless he corrects the spelling of a crucial word in his announcement, he might discover that he’s still a iowa commit in the legal sense
You clearly don’t have any high school aged children currently.guy with that haircut doesn’t deserve to play for iowa. bye
Yes, because Ferentz has shown you sit even if you are better. No shortage of good kickers who will come to IC. Drew Stephens is looking at a great Senior season next year. SS didn't want to sit.
Next man in.
Dude looks like Scut Farkasguy with that haircut doesn’t deserve to play for iowa. bye
College athletics doesn’t deserve Iowa.
I think he saw he'd be sitting next year, and wants to play right away.....He saw Stevens' performance at Maryland and thought it looked like too much work
What are we down to; 14 commits for ‘25?
I say we go kick that kicker's ass!
If you read the story, this.I think he saw he'd be sitting next year, and wants to play right away.....
“What, I have to tackle, too? But I’m only 5’ 11’!”He saw Stevens' performance at Maryland and thought it looked like too much work
Exactly- how sad this is like the minor league of the nfl now$$$$$$$
Well that’s a kick in the n__s 🤣
Unless I’m missing something, he knew this information when he committed, he knew Stevens would be on the team next year.I think he saw he'd be sitting next year, and wants to play right away.....
This deserves more likes...excellent work.He saw Stevens' performance at Maryland and thought it looked like too much work
Actually no. If you recall Stevens went through a bad stretch last season, and Kirk benched him, and he was really struggling with consistency. He committed in the off season, and may very well have thought he could come right in and take the job, even with Drew still here. Lucky for us, Drew has been a rock this year, and that may have had our recruit rethinking, especially now that he's getting alot of other high end offers, including one from Michigan, AFTER he committed to Iowa.Unless I’m missing something, he knew this information when he committed, he knew Stevens would be on the team next year.
Actually Yes. Steven did struggle last year but there was no indication he was leaving. SS committed in July when it was clear Stevens was returning. He should have chosen a team with a graduating kicker if he wanted a sure thing.Actually no. At NO point did I say that Stevens was leaving. Just that maybe he misread the tea leaves and thought he'd come in and beat out Stevens who was struggling. As I also stated, he's received other top end offers SINCE he committed including one from Michigan. Whether some $$ was included in some of those offers, who knows.Actually Yes. Next year. What year does the new 105 limit take effect? This will effect the kickers as much as anyone. I think we have 5 kickers/punters on the current roster. Most are walk ons. I would imagine you will see that go down to 4 maybe even 3 with one being a utility guy who can do both pretty well. It will also be interesting to see if we keep a specialist spot open for just a long snapper only position as we have for sometime now.
Dude we are in the portal era. Keep up!What are we down to; 14 commits for ‘25?
Odds he makes it to NFL?idiotic decision. As much as Iowa depends on FGs? As a kicker wanting to showcase your talent what better place to do it than IC?
