Step 1 on moving on from the "fat cats" (I am not saying King is at all) from Kirk. Seen this story. A first team All American, Thorpe award winner and probable 1st round draft pick who is not in any trouble academically or legally (as far as I know) is replaced as captain week 4. Message being sent just hope no implosion like we gave witnessed before.
Guessing he was "late" to a workout or something. Wasn't it Canzeri or someone who got de-throned as captain a few years back?
oh yeah I remember that. Can't remember if it was canzeri or not.
Also could be a case of they have other seniors they would like to have as captains.

He does not seem to be playing at full speed on all plays.
The coaches don't name the captains. A leadership group made up of seniors and juniors on the team vote each week.
The same KF that said he was trying to get a first down on our last offensive series? Yeah, I totally believe everything he says
I started a thread about this topic Sunday morning. I think there is something to it. He is not playing up to his ability in my opinion.

Did you read his comments? He said players vote on captains. Said last year was an odd year where they had same captains for every game. There are multiple seniors that probably deserve to be captain at some point this year. King was there today speaking with the media.
he has only been targeted on a handful of passes this year. NDSU ran to his side a lot and he came away as the highest graded player in run defense. That sounds like he is doing just fine to me. He also almost prevented NDSU from getting a TD with his strip and has been very good in the return game.
I am still not 100% that wasn't a touchback. I know the pylon got knocked over, but if that is a loose ball and it rolls through the end zone and OB, isn't that a touchback?
Hopefully this is a show of respect for LeShun and the leadership he is displaying following the loss... we may see on Saturday.

So my guess is both CJ and Josey with be "subbed out" soon as captains to other deserving players per your earlier post. You clearly have never played sports ever.

The nfl is a joke with the protests and iowa is involved in some sort of conspiracy to throw games, i would go play soccer or badminton or something if i were him.

Somebody had to call out the coaches in that mess. It really seems like players are petrified to speak the truth about coaching. It's ok to mention bad execution by players when a player or coach is being interviewed, but you will never ever hear a player call out the coaching.
Love people questioning King and his play. The guy is our best defender and has had what, maybe 5 passes thrown his way all year with like 2 completions and he has made the tackle to his side all the time. Yeah, he's taking plays, just look at Kirk's track record with players that have talent but make a mistake, he yanks them right away and they barely see the field again. Was it last year or two years ago Parker or Wadley fumbled early in the season and we never saw them again that year.
KING is not the problem here, maybe he spoke and called people out and they didn't like and didn't vote him a captain. Maybe someone else just stepped up and got on everyone's butt and the guys respected that and made them the captain. We don't know so lets just let the next game play out before we start pointing fingers.
