Kirk Ferentz now at 202 Wins at IOWA (#2 All Time in B1G History). Woody Hayes #1 at 205 wins; Amos Alonzo Stagg #3 at 199 wins; Bo #4 at 194 wins

??? Is Kirk coaching at Michigan or OSU? With their recruiting advantages? Apples to watermelons. Not to mention back in the B1G 2 little 8 days, (before Fry challenged the league with the pass game), Bo and Woody played a whole bunch of SHIT teams in the conference EVERY year. Thats a fact....

We've been pretty lucky to have Hayden and Kirk over the last 45 years

The top 4:
1. Woody Hayes, 202
2. Amos Alonzo Stagg, 199

Hit the play button.

That is as awesome as it gets!!!! Thanks for posting that Fran!

I just really really wish that Hawkeye fans could just live in the moment. We may all disagree on here and be at each other's throats, but the one thing we can all agree on is our love for the Hawks. So no matter what happens from here on out it would be great if we kept it all in perspective and enjoyed the journey and not focused so much on the destination. There is a lesson in there with life too.

If Iowa wins at least 10 games out of 12 in the regular season Kirk will pass Woody.

Kirk's current record:

...12-21 (36.4%):.............3 years at Maine (1990-92)
196-119 (62.2%):......25 years at Iowa (1999-present)

Living in Columbus Ohio and dealing with Buckeye fans for many, many years, it is going to be so great to see KF move ahead of Woody! OSU fans will never accept the fact, but they live in their own little world. I will get a hoddie with the words... BIG 10 winningest coach is a HAWKEYE !!

I am sure Ohio State fans will come back with:

* Winning percentage: Woody's 205–61–10 record (76.1%) vs KF's 196-119 (62.2%)

* 276 games for Woody to get to 205 wins; approximately 327 games (51 more) for KF to get to 206 wins cc: @LarryMullenJr.

Kirk's last 23 years have been pretty good.

.....4-19.... (17.4%):........Kirk's first 2 years at IOWA
192-100 (65.8%):.......Kirk's last 23 years at IOWA

With the expanded playoff system, he literally has the opportunity to coach in twice as many games per year as the old timers did, but yes, let's hoist Captain Mediocre up as the second coming.........

A 65.8% winning percentage (192-100) over the last 23 years at IOWA is pretty good, imo.

In 20 years at Iowa, Hayden Fry won 61.3% of his games (143-89-6).

Hayden was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2003. Kirk will likely be joining him.

Things will get a little more interesting for Kirk with just 11 regular season games instead of 12.

Game #1's result goes to Seth Wallace.

Iowa now needs to win at least 10 out of the last 11 in the regular season for Kirk to pass Woody (205 wins at OSU).

Kirk's current record:

...12-21 (36.4%):.............3 years at Maine (1990-92)
196-119 (62.2%):......25 years at Iowa (1999-present)

Yep. 3.

As you can see below, Kirk gets credited with today's win.

Update after Iowa's 40-0 win vs Illinois State:

Kirk's current record:

...12-21 (36.4%):.............3 years at Maine (1990-92)
197
-119 (62.3%):......25 plus years at Iowa (1999-present)
