Kneel for anthem or flag? F U! I hope you go home early. Especially the woke US women’s soccer team!

You should leave it then because apart of ‘it’ is being able to tell ‘it’ that ‘it’s’ fvcked and needs some changing.
Yep.

The First Amendment gives Americans five basic freedoms: Freedom of speech, press, petition, assembly and religion.
While all five are important, perhaps Freedom of speech is talked about the most.
Free speech is the cornerstone of our democracy.
Although what you say can have consequences—like losing friends or a job—it gives Americans the right to express opinions without government censorship or control. And more importantly–you can’t go to jail for expressing your opinion.
It not only protects speech that people like, but speech that people don’t. Because when it comes to free speech, either everyone is protected or no one is at all.

ALL of the problems facing this country - how can anyone get in a twist over what people do during the National Anthem?
I think this comes from the baby boomer residual form of patriotism that is based on symbolism and the very whitewashed historically-favorable aspects of the USA, especially from Cold War experiences. People were indoctrinated to "love their country" more, back then.

So, anytime they see anyone doing anything that could even slightly appear to be "disrespectful", they take it personal.

If that's not political, what is it?

Is it political bs? That was the description.

To answer your question, a lot of people would call it courageous, especially with the benefit of hindsight. Others probably view it a different way - especially back then - unfortunately, some probably still do.

People hate the USWNT but love this shit:

Based on a few idiots in this thread?
Sometimes it seems like you aren't even paying attention to what the Republicans in leadership positions are doing. Based on idiots in this thread? Who the fvck do you think said idiots are listening to? They don't come up with all this bullshit in their simpleton skulls.

The women's team went all in on the politics. And it was much more than the anthem. That was their choice. The rest of us have choices as well.

Love how protesting racial injustice (not even during the national anthem!) is political

Are you now asserting that they have never protested during the national anthem?

And are you aware of members of the team constantly going after the former president?

They are absolutely political.

Oh, so this thread about kneeling for the national anthem was from last year? Didn't realize how long it takes for news to get to some people

Some of us have the ability to retain information. It's a body of work.

Many of you aren't dumb, just naive.

You all know that being political has it's drawbacks. Right from the start you lose the other 50%.
