I also like how they think it's just the USWNT that's woke in this tournament and other national teams aren't fighting for the same things. Australia already had a form or equal pay long before US Soccer did

Ed, next time you watch any football, baseball, basketball team, etc. during the national anthem, tell me how many of them sing along. Then show me the outrage when few or none of them do.

I have never seen that happen on the football field or on the soccer pitch. Did the dream team all sing? Every Olympian? The USA team in the World Baseball Classic? The quick and easy answer is no they didn't but there was exactly zero outrage.
I would suggest there is a big difference between not singing and taking your clothes off and peeing. Like if I don't sing in church on Sunday I don't think anything will happen but if I pee on the host during service there might be an issue.

And truthfully, it's not the anthem to me; 99 times out of 100 you don't even notice it. It's the blatant kneeling to attract attention that pisses me off. They are representing their country (and being PAID for it), and then go out of their way to denigrate it. Slightly akin to the Noles taking the field and wearing Gator uniforms.
They were criticized for that at the last World Cup. At least Rapino was. This year, they all stood, many with their hands over their hearts, and the MAGA mob still found a reason to attack them. Celebrating their early exit was more un-American than anything they did.
Seeing how often the US flag shows up in pictures of racial aggressors throughout history makes me understand why some see the flag differently than the blind patriotism alot of white america sees. (For the record, I have a US flag hanging from my front porch because I still believe in what's possible in this country, if I detest some aspects of how this country came to be)
