Our current goalpost no longer fold down
You sure about this? I'm pretty sure I've seen them folded this year. I could be wrong though.

Picture that sensor or laser mounted on the goalpost uprights. One on each side. On a windy day those uprights often become out of plumb. A ball that is obviously good to the inside of an upright could break that beam and register no-good. Would not affect a call like Saturday other than the upright would have been leaning enough to appear good.An electronic sensor that extends upward and can detect the plain being broken is what's needed.

Remember the ball must pass completely inside the goal post. If the ball passes above the post, it is deemed to be no good. Kind of an all or nothing type thing.
All the angles showed it was close, the person who had the best view was the gentlemen standing under neath the upright and he made the call. Ill trust his judgement because there is seriously no camera angle that can show otherwise.
I agree have lasers pointed toward the sky (airplanes would love that). iF the ball hits the laser then its no good.
Well then it's time to rush the field again....Our current goalpost no longer fold down
Isn't the rule that if it breaks the plain it's no good?
The ref said he missed. I guess that's all the proof we get. Announcer had an interesting point that no fans reacted.Proof? All angles on tv looked good.
It's college football. Education should never be ignored. Nice catch. (Ya geek!!Plane (as in geometry)
Sorry to be that guy![]()
How about some taller goalposts?
Yes. The NFL's Adam Carolla Rule.
We should have sharks with lasers attached to their heads on the top of each goalpost. That way, even if the kick is no good, we still have sharks with lasers attached to their heads on the top of each goalpost.
How about some taller goalposts?
It was funny the first time.W
What are the chances we can get a laser or possibly a shark with a laser on it's head? Like 1 in 100 ?
