Kris Injured

Sets up quite a predicament what if. What if Kris is out for the year or a long time and decides to come back next year? Who bites the bullet on the scholarship? If he were to come back next year would one of the recruits go elsewhere?

It's a boot, not a cast, most likely a 7-10 day thing.

Mulvey to NAIA

I mean, 0-100 real quick.

If Kris comes back, they wouldn’t have to do anything because they’d still only have 13 on scholarship:

Ulis
Bowen
Harding
Perkins
Dix
Pryce
Payton
Patrick
Kris
Dembele
Freeman
Ogundele
Mulvey

If Kris is in fact hurt and can’t go tonight it will be interesting to see the lineups fran goes to. Id expect to see sandfort start at the 4. Im hopeful Bowen plays 20+ minutes. And i also wouldn’t be surprised to see a little more Josh Dix, as he looked pretty good at the end of the Duke game. The way ISU plays I could see JoshO getting a little more run as well.
Im hopeful Sandfort gets his shot going tonight, being an Iowa guy going against the in state rival. Hopefully be amped and ready to play.

If ever there was a time for a break out game for Sandfort, tonight would be it. Maybe he can borrow JBo’s shoes.

I was really hoping/thinking he was going to against Duke. The one was so close, I think it's just going to take one and he'll be back to normal...hopefully

Well, maybe I can put some lipstick on this pig.

The Hawks seemed to rally pretty well when Keegan was out for the game at Purdue. Still lost, but fought like hell. Maybe the same thing will happen tonight, only with a W,

🤞

Sure not seeing this confirmed anywhere. Maybe true, maybe a game time decision. I find it odd he stayed in the entire Duke game if he hurt it early in the game. I certainly don't know.

You guys will find out tonight that Kris is not as big of a difference maker as you think.
If Kris minutes go to Sanfort and CMac, IOWA will be in trouble.
  • Sanfort can always have tonight to break out of his season long shooting slump, possible, but doubtfu, anyone betting the farm on Sanfort with the double double tonight with 13 points? Didn’t think so.
  • CMac. Even less doubtful that CMac pickup slack as CMac struggles to get more than 3 FGA vs aggressive defense
I really can’t fathom thee rationale that Kris is not a difference maker, so please kindly enlighten us on why you made this assertion

Recall in that game Kris and Ogundele combined for 41minutes played, 19 points. 25m/12pt, 16m/7pt.

I look for CMac, Sandfort too pick up their minutes played….doubtful they’ll add that add’l production over current

not exactly the same Calvary horses as last yr
ISU in CHA a bit easier than #2 Purdue in Mackey
