Lack Of Review?

I thought the same thing

The punt mistake. He was blocked into the ball.

The spot on the last drive giving them a first down instead of a fourth and short situation.

If communication occurred Beyer should have been far far away. The only chance Iowa had on that play was if the ball had stopped moving and was dead. The way he came into contact with the ball was immaterial. He screwed up.

once upon a time if you were blocked into a punt it was not a fumble .

Still is a rule. If a receiving team player his blocked into the ball the touching is ignored.

Receiving team can’t block someone and touch the ball and that’s what Beyer did.

just watched the play again and beyer did engage 51 but he was pushed into the ball . i will admit it was not a big push .

The AJ strip fumble needed to be reviewed. That was an error to not challenge that play.
