Last/next concert?

Went to the Stadium Tour at Wrigley and then again in Vegas. Joan Jett, Poison, Motley Crue, and Def Leppard.

Not sure what my next show will be. Probably some old 80s rockers though :)

In your opinion, who still has "it"? I've heard Poison still has their "A" game..and Def Leppard were bad...Any truth to that?

Dale Watson plus Wild Earp and the Free For Alls in Dubuque last year.

Going to the Winter Dance Party at the Surf in February, tribute to Buddy Holly.
Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats)
Albert Lee
Gary US Bonds
The Lovettes
Bill Haley Jr and the Comets

Poison was on top of their game. Bret was like energizer bunny. Even in Chicago when he was still sick he didn't let his personal issues slow him down on stage.

Def Leppard was great, I am not going say it was there best performance I have ever seen. Would leave that status to their last residency.

I do not think either band has slowed down on stage since the 80s. In many ways they are actually better.

Crue has taken a step back, but still are better than just about anyone else on stage. You could tell that Mick was not feeling great. Vince was fine...he has moments but him at 95% is better than anyone else singing those at 100%.

Nikki is actually better now than when he was younger.

Tommy is still insane and I think is having more fun than anyone else in the stadium.

Meet and greets...did Def Leppard in Chicago. It was a whatever experience. Poison in Vegas....they are the best in the business at meet and greets. Brett walks up and hugs you like you are a long lost friend.

Last concert was Awolnation about 2 months ago. Unless you count seeing Don Carlos at the Met Opera over Thanksgiving.

Next concert - I'm not sure yet.

I've seen DL a few times in past 5 years and they were still great and going to see them again late summer. Poison always sounds same which is good but I'm a big DL fan so I'm biased. Last concert was Luke Combs and next concert is OAR. Best concert last year was Lumineers, they had a great show and better than anticipated.

I saw Jackson Browne at Red Rocks in September. Really hard to beat that venue, no matter who is playing.
Not sure who my next show will be, but I'm checking the Red Rocks calendar for shows this summer.

took my son to see Hank Williams Jr last summer. Had 3rd row seats center stage. Haven't been that close to the stage since GA in the early 90's.

Not sure what is next but I am finding it hard to watch off a jumbotron again...

Last- Kidz Bop
Next-taking kids to Pink at Wrigley

I know, I am a Wild Man

I have a few Kidz Bop albums ripped into my music collection of 16k songs or so. Cracks me up every time one of them comes on when I am playing on shuffle.

I am officially old.

Most recent - 2021 ZZ Top in CR. That concert broke a streak of roughly 8 years without attending one, and I honestly went only to say "hey, I went to a concert!" They were OK, but for the most part it was your basic cookie cutter ZZ Top show they've put on for 40 or so years now.

I honestly don't have anybody I want to see all that badly any more other than Big Wreck, but they rarely tour outside of Canada. I've listened to that band for 25 or so years now and I think the closest they've ever come to Iowa was Milwaukee/Chicago and those instances were incredibly rare.

Otherwise, we'll see who rolls around Iowa this summer, maybe there'll be something worth attending.

Next: Chuck Prophet on Friday.

My last concert was a Snoop Dogg Ice Cube Warren G Concert at TaxSlayer Center last year. Not sure what the next one will be.

Who did you see at the last concert you attended?

Who are you planning on seeing for your next concert?

Last concert-Deftones

Next concert-Jerry Cantrell

Last Concert: Not counting cruise ship entertainment (and one of the singers was a runnerup on the Voice), entertainers at theme parks (Manheim Steamroller and Celtic Fyre were the biggest names) and local bands in Tallahassee and New Orleans at restaurants, music clubs, beer and/or food festivals, fairs, etc… was a trio of bands in St Augustine, the Barenaked Ladies, Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket. Before that it was a standalone concert with Walk the Moon at Busch Gardens Tampa and the 2022 Innings Festival in Tampa with Green Day, Lumineers, Jimmy Eat World, OAR, Incubus, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Goo Goo Dolls, Khruangbin, David Duchovny, Highly Suspect, We are Scientists, Neon Trees, Wolf AlIce and the Beaches.

Next Concert: Again not counting cruise ship entertainment, bands brought into local theme parks in Orlando and Tampa, and Tallahassee and New Orleans local and regional bands, it’s going to be Train, Halestorm and Ludacris at the Plant City Strawberry Festival and then the 2023 Innings Festival featuring Imagine Dragons, Dave Matthews, Weezer, Avett Brothers, Pitbull, Third Eye Blind, Japanese Breakfast, Mumford, Revivalists, the Breeders, the Heavy Heavy, Joey Valence & Brae, Grouplove and Tai Verdes. I’m also going to Rockville in Daytona featuring Slipknot, Rob Zombie, Tool (plus Maynard’s other band Puscifer on a separate day), Pantera, Queens of the Stone Age, Alice Cooper, Incubus (again), Evanescence, Sleeping with Sirens, Deftones, Pennywise, Alter Bridge, Bullet For my Valentine, Chevelle, Godsmack, Coheee & Cambria, Jason Bonham and what’s left of Led Zeppelin, Yelawolf, Sepultura, Filter, Starset, AntiFlag, Black Veil Brides, I Prevail, and a bunch more. And I’m going to the first weekend of the NOLA Jazzfest with Lizzo, Ed Sheeran, Robert Plant & Alison Krause, Teswschi Trucks, Steve Miller, Kenny Loggins, Wu Tang Clan, Revivalists (again), Los Lobos, Dirty Dozen Beass Band, Kermit Ruffin and the Barbecue Swingers, Ivan Neville and Dumpstaphunk, and the Rebirth Jazz Band amongst others.

I have been noticing a lot more tribute bands playing in my area. Seems to be a growing trend. I guess when a lot of the bands you remember when you were young get old or break up and you can't see them live, it's the next best thing.

Last concert (last night) was a band called Atomic Light Orchestra. They are an ELO and by extension, Traveling Wilburys tribute band. They were GREAT, and it was great fun. I was never a big Wilburys fan, but the songs sounded really good last night. It was funny, the lead singer said "Man, if you would have told me back in the day that Bob Dylan would be one of the last 2 surviving Wilburys, I would have asked What are you smoking?".

Next is another tribute band called U2topia, obviously a U2 tribute band. Looking forward to it!

Man, if I didn't already know, I'm way too old for concerts after realizing that 75% of the bands mentioned on this thread I've never heard of.

Last show was Elton John at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta back in September. Where we've moved to is a 2 hour drive to any major city, and I can't imagine there's any music from my generation that's still alive that would entice me to do a 4 hour drive at night. Guess I'll have to live with Spotify.

Zach Brown Band in Moline, probably a decade ago.

None, concerts suck.

The last was Umphrey's McGee in Manteo, NC. The show and venue were really cool.

Next will probably be at Bonnaroo. My wife got me drunk two nights ago and got me to agree to go after an 8 year absence. No idea whom it might be.
