Last/next concert?

Last: Queensrych/Judas Priest back in Nov.

Next: none yet. Next live show will be a cover band, Fountains of Dane at East of Omaha in good old Griswold, IA. My brother is in this band. Several FOW songs and other 90’s rock.

The last was Umphrey's McGee in Manteo, NC. The show and venue were really cool.

Next will probably be a Bonnaroo. My wife got me drunk two nights ago and got me to agree to go after an 8 year absence. No idea whom it might be.

I was trying to drum up some Bonnaroo interest yesterday; wife and 15yo were lukewarm.

Last ticketed show: Wilco
Next: Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band at The Stoughton Opera House

Last - Reggae Rise Up in St. Pete Oct, 2021. Stick Figure (awesome), Dirty Heads, Iration, The Elovators (also awesome), SOJA, and a bunch of others.

Next - Hopefully this fest again in March.
Who was your favorite out of those listed? I would love to see SOJA.

Went to the Stadium Tour at Wrigley and then again in Vegas. Joan Jett, Poison, Motley Crue, and Def Leppard.

Not sure what my next show will be. Probably some old 80s rockers though :)

Poison was on top of their game. Bret was like energizer bunny. Even in Chicago when he was still sick he didn't let his personal issues slow him down on stage.

Def Leppard was great, I am not going say it was there best performance I have ever seen. Would leave that status to their last residency.

I do not think either band has slowed down on stage since the 80s. In many ways they are actually better.

Crue has taken a step back, but still are better than just about anyone else on stage. You could tell that Mick was not feeling great. Vince was fine...he has moments but him at 95% is better than anyone else singing those at 100%.

Nikki is actually better now than when he was younger.

Tommy is still insane and I think is having more fun than anyone else in the stadium.

Meet and greets...did Def Leppard in Chicago. It was a whatever experience. Poison in Vegas....they are the best in the business at meet and greets. Brett walks up and hugs you like you are a long lost friend.
I saw this tour in Minneapolis. I was only there for Joan Jett and Motley Crue to less a degree. My wife likes them all but was there mainly for the other two.

Last - Ghost & Volbeat at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee about a year ago

Next - no idea

Tedeschi-Trucks here too. Fabulous Armadillos up next...

Not counting the local band on emo night at Gaslamp a few months ago, I think it might have been when I took the wife to Shania Twain in Vegas last year. It was fine.

Next concert is another country band she wanted to see. Don't remember the name.

I know whiskey Myers is coming here this summer, planning to go to that. Hoping Flogging Molly or Dropkick come close by this summer.

I know. I’m stoked for the show. I got into them right after they broke up, but their live album and gigs on YouTube are fantastic. Downloaded their Best of… album on Apple Music, and rock it in the car lately.
As a Cedar Falls native, I’ve seen them more than any other band and they always deliver. Saw dozens of national shows at Gabes back in the 90s and they put on as good a show as any of them.

Next will probably be at Bonnaroo. My wife got me drunk two nights ago and got me to agree to go after an 8 year absence. No idea whom it might be.

The last Bonnaroo I went to was in 2010 as the lineups have gotten sh%*tier every year after that. They no longer have comedians and the lineup is more pop than rock now by a large margin.

Compare this year to the lineup in 2010.

2023 Headliners: Foo Fighters, Lil Nas X, Korn, Zeds Dead, Liquid Lamar, Kendrick Lamar, Portugal the Man, Odesza, My Morning Jacket, Sheryl Crow, Revivalists, Pixies, Paramore, Subtronics, Griz, and Three Six Mafia.

2010 Headliners: Jay Z, Dave Matthews Band, Kings of Leon, Weezer, Stevie Wonder, Kris Kristofferson, Deadmaus, Jeff Beck, Mumford and Sons, Avett Brothers, Flaming Lips, They Might Be Giants, Blues Traveler, Tori Amos, Zac Brown Band, Dead Weather (aka Jack White’s “Supergroup”), Les Claypool and Primus, LCD Soundsystem, Jimmy Cliff, Norah Jones, Medeschi Martin & Wood, Ok Go and Against Me.

2023 Midtier Bands I recognize as good to great: Briscoe, AFI, Fleet Foxes, Vulfpeck, Umphreys McGee, The Band Camino, Rebelution, Alesso, and Louis the Child.

2010 Midtier Bands I recognize as good to great: Dropkick Murphies, Kid Cudi, Brandi Carlisle, Gwar, John Prine, Manchester Orchestra, She & Him (Zooey Deschanel’s band), Steve Martin and the Steel Canyon Rangers, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, The Black Keys, The Melvins, Trombone Shorty, Regina Spektor, Japandroid, and Needtobreathe.

2023 Comedians: None

2010 Comedians: Conan O’Brien, Tenacious D, Aziz Ansari, Nick Kroll, Bo Burnham, Jeffrey Ross, Greg Giraldo, Margaret Cho, Paul Scheer, Chelsea Peretti, John Roberts, Rob Huebel, Doug Benson and more. All doing Multiple Sets

Yeah, I was at that one too. This year the decision is more about a journey through the past than finding the best bang for your buck as far as the lineup goes. I doubt I have the endurance to keep up with that many shows anymore anyway.

I was on the fence, but we're always willing to travel to see MMJ and having an opportunity to see Foo Fighters in one of their first shows back will be a cool experience in that environment. The rest of the lineup will be plenty full enough for me to have a good time.

Last concert with a touring band was Three Dog Night a couple of months ago.

The only thing I have scheduled so far is Killer Queen, which is a Queen tribute (touring) band. I highly recommend them.

Besides Three Dog Night, last year I saw Kansas, Drivin N Cryin.

Last was Suwannee Roots Revival; main acts were JJ Grey & MoFro one night, Punch Brothers the next. Not sure what will be next.

I'm sure we'll go to Suwannee again in the fall, though the last few years we go more because of the park than the music. The festival has changed through the years - more fold/Americana stuff than anything nowadays. Lots of tremendous musicians, but not the big name acts that they used to have when we first started going 10 or 12 years ago.

Last: Machine Gun Kelly. Before that Megadeth
Next: maybe Morgan Wallen if ticket prices get better on porn hub. I mean StubHub. ;)

Lots of bands/acts I’d like to see.

Justin Timberlake
Arctic Monkeys
I’m also intrigued by the Andrea Bocelli show someone mentioned. Where’s that?

I realize this list is kinda eclectic. But is what it is.

Finance, how was the 3 Dog Night show? Curious how they sound at their advanced ages, especially in light of Chuck Negron's new tell-all book.

I know this thread is a few months old, but let's keep the concert vibes going strong!
Last concert: Deftones! Man, they know how to rock the stage and bring the house down. The energy was electric, and I couldn't help but get lost in their incredible performance. It was a night to remember!

Last was American Aquarium.

Next...so far...is Donna the Buffalo. But that's not until November so I'm sure there will be several in between.

edit...just remembered I got roped into going to Scotty McCreery/Brooks and Dunn in a few weeks.

Who did you see at the last concert you attended?

Who are you planning on seeing for your next concert?

Last concert-Deftones

Next concert-Jerry Cantrell
Last: The Walkmen a couple weeks ago.

I just booked a hotel in downtown Memphis for the Beale Street Music Festival. The 2023 lineup hasn't been announced yet, but here is last year's lineup. I'd say it rivals Bonaroo.

Update: The lineup sucked (Lumineers, really?), so we bailed.

Saw Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks a few weeks ago. It rocked. Next up is WuTang Clan and Nas.
