I have been reading on Facebook how popular girls wrestling has become. Camps for girls are now available more and more and the number of girls at wrestling camps has really spiked up this summer.
With the increase in popularity, I have also heard of a shortage of clinicians for the girls wrestling camps. With that in mind, I contacted Lauren Louive, the first woman wrestler in the history of the Hawkeye Wrestling Club. Lauren does have some openings this summer and fall for girls wrestling camps and clinics.
Lauren has great credentials that include being a four-time Women’s College Wrestling Association All American and being a Pan Am team member and Silver medalist. Lauren grew up in Ohio and is now a member of the Hawkeye Wrestling Club. I have also heard from several people that Lauren is a very good clinician.
